I don't pray I'm afraid to say but I sure as hell hope ol' Dutch pulls through.

He and I go back about 9 years on the Trivia threads and I can't remember a cross word between us. Mates like that are hard to find.

He beat me to being a guru.

Well...thoughts are there with him and Anna. Will continue to pray.

@spendius,
My master - do I bark, or simper like a maiden in a Thomas Hardy classic? Anyway, it's The Times, not The Telegraph.

Rob Thomas is a showman, not a shaman, and being a simple soul that suits me fine! Check out his http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2B_lci2lJTY and 'Smooth', plus 'Lonely no More'. Dylan is okay, so are Leonard Cohen, JJCale, Neil Young et al, but one needs a bit of light relief at times. Hence Rob Thomas and his ilk. Used to be rather keen on The Doors but think I grew out of them at some point.

Sturgis - Crikey, a Dylan Thread - don't know if I can take more Dylan at the moment. The Tempest - is that the one with a track about the Titanic?

@Izzie,
Love and best wishes to the Bosun and his family. Your news of Dutchy is worrying, but good to know the facts. I hope with all my heart and soul that he pulls through safely - he's obviously much loved and needed by many.

@vonny,
Quote:
The Telegraph was a fan-oriented periodical about the work of Bob Dylan and musicians associated with Dylan. It was published in Manchester, England, in 56 issues from November 1981 until the "Winter" (presumably the final quarter) of 1997. By that date, it had a circulation of about 3500, of which England accounted for roughly half.

Through 1983, approximately bimonthly issues were dated by month; thereafter, each issue was designated by the year and one of the four seasons; issues numbered three or four per year, until the final two years, in which a total of three appeared.

The publisher and primary writer was John Bauldie, who died in 1996; a website exists about the periodical and 15 Dylan-related books, of which 13 were published by The Telegraph, and two — anthologies, consisting mostly of Telegraph articles — each had multiple publishers, according to country. On the magazine website, Bauldie claimed that Dylan was a regular reader of The Telegraph.

John was killed in a helicopter crash flying back to London from Manchester after a football match with Chelsea. A memorial issue followed after a considerable delay and it was then would up. His friendship with Chelsea executives cost him his life.

I have every number.

@spendius,
Must admit I'd never heard of it - thought you meant the newspaper! But the Dylan fan I live with knows of it, and just about every other bit of Dylan trivia going - has all the cd's, dvd's etc. I do like Dylan's radio programmes though - don't know if they are still airing in the UK but his gravelly voice came over well on the ones I heard.

@vonny,
Ms (((IZZIE))) and your crew.

I just spoke to Mrs Bosun. She is remaining positive but also somewhat confused.

Last night, they found Danny had fluid on his lungs, so they drained it. She spoke to a Nurse, who said that he was awake and they were asking him Questions. She asked if he was awake "then" and she said no, he is now back asleep. She stated that she had sent Anna's love.

This morning however, she was advised that he is still in an induced coma and that the Doctors were coming today to see what they can find. They are not sure if he is bleeding internally hense the blood transfusion or something else, and that he has low blood pressure.

So I can see why she is confused, if they were originally talking about someone else or took him out of the coma and then put him back in. She does not know.

She is worried because it's been two days and said she spoke to "Naomi" Wink And, that everytime the phone rings she worries if it is the hospital but then says "but I am ok" once I have answered it. I am ok, I'm prepared .

Her daughter-in-law may not come on the weekend as Anna does not want the children to visit the hospital which her daughter-in-law said she would not do anyway but there is no one to look after them whilst they visit. Anna suggested the following week when Danny is better. So, she is remaining positive about it all.

She laughed because Danny told me, the other day that he walked 50 metres on Australia Day, with Anna, to see his daughter. Unfortunately she passed away some years ago, on Australia Day. Anna fought with him not to walk that far, usually he can manage 10m. But, alas stubborn Mr Danny did it and suffered all night as a result. I laughed because she then told me she told him " ok, it's your funeral"... Apparently last time Danny had this operation his daughter said to him the night before " I feel like this is our last supper" seems Mother and Daughter are the same ..... We laughed about that Danny and myself.

Anna knows, he came out of the operation. The Doctors are finding anything they need to find and balancing it, for now, until they find out hte causes. And, she knows it's the BEST hospital there is in actually, Australia as far as Doctors are concerned. She is in comfort that he is in intensive care because that is 24/7 monitored.

Keeping all good thoughts and sending love and hugs and positive energy.

I let Ms Anna know that I will call in a few days, as Ms Izzie is keeping us up to date.

It's cheaper too if I ring Izzie Wink In - between.

She is getting loads of calls per day, but seems to still be positive, laugh and in good spirits...

I offered my help if she needs at anytime and she said " thank you for the offer" , I laughed and said, "typical just like Danny, that means no" .. She laughed and said we are both so independent.. So true.

Sending more vibes DUTCHY your way, ..............................they will find the problems....

@verbivore,
..

Hi Missi, and all.

IDK, maybe this is good but I just wanted to let you know I did a fair bit of research today. Apparently, it is normal to have these problems from heart surgery, loss of blood, low blood pressure and even fluid on the lungs.

Perhaps it takes a little bit longer to get it all right, find anything wrong, and fix, when you have been having loads of trouble in the past with your heart and off course the 50 metre walk...

Just thought seeing as Anna is totally confused (((Izzie))) that you could maybe let her know that. Seems no one else is telling her that at least the symptoms are normal, timing of correction not so, but .......

Hi verbivore, hope that helps you, the above.

We are not sad, can not be sad, we must be positive and send it all out there, hugs, holding hands and saying it's "ok" ...

But I am sure we all know what you mean.

Just a little thought.................which I hope gives more hope................ and positive thoughts.
