Must try to read earlier posts when I get time. So many names to remember - ehbeth, Tryagain, Ossobuco, JPB, Stormwatch, Wandeljw, along with those to whom I've already replied with thanks for a warm welcome. Overwhelming! And so much soup, plus board games, sunshine and some excellent trips and music already.

One thing's puzzling me - and this may sound very silly to you all - are Dutchy and Danny the same? I know Dutchy from my crossword puzzling, but Danny?

Welcome aboard the "Yabber-Liner" vonny even though we met on the Lovatts thread in 2011. I am the Bosun here mainly to keep the ladies under control as they have a tendency to become a little to boisterous at times, some (tryagain, stormwatch) call it flirting but I don't entertain that word! My official title is "Cosmic Eagle", but I'm also known as "Beagle", "Teddy", "Danny" and "Dutchy" pet names given to me by certain ladies. I'm only typing this because FoundSoul pressured me into it!

Hey, whatever it takes to get you to post. You're greatly missed around these parts and wished a speedy recovery.

Dutchy, so nice to see you! Not call it flirting...hahahaha You are a bit of a jokester as well You are missed lots , but we need you well to carry on with the entertainment around here. You need to get back to resting. I'm pretty sure the dr's orders did not include chasing women around on deck!!!

You have selective memory Found Soul. You quoted FaceBook but this is what you wrote here on a2k, only yesterday, "I just told him very nicely that he has over 10 days and therefore, should type here as he is missed". I interpret "told him" and "should type" as pressure!

You see Vonny, that is what the Bosun has to put up with, they try to 'boss' me and then I need to pull them into gear with a few home truths. Always remember men rule on the Yabber liner.

How good to see you Can't tell you how happy that makes me and I know the crew will be just as happy.

I've been up since 6.30am... yes, it snowed... (woot woot), now it's nearly gone!!!!!!

The rest of the country is white and I think Taggers and IzZyP are going to get A LOT!

Our school is open but there are hundreds that have closed. The kidz will be loving it.

I've just made a cuppa and may have to go and hibernate for a little while... the wind outside is biting brrrrrrrrrrrrr and soooooooooooooooo cold... but it's nice to see a little of the white stuff! (albeit breifly)

Yes everything's white in Southampton, it's not too thick though, about half an inch, but it's still coming down.

Apparently your airport has closed (mind you, it only takes a flake or two to close our roads and airports... not a flake here, we like RIPPLES! )

School's been cancelled, I did a big shop yesterday. I just need to pop out later to get a paper.

I wrote and txt all my parents and staff this morning and said to bring hats, scarf, coats and wellies ... the Head is organising some playtime snowball fun! I was meant to be working today to cover a colleague but as she can't get into Exeter, I am now lounging at home. (barely enough snow to make a snowball in my village)

Got the nasty dentist today... was so HOPING I was going to be able to cancel for a good reason, but dangit, now I'll have to go... YEUCH!

(I think Tulip has quite a bit of the white stuff - she's about 20 miles East of me and high up, so I don't know if she'll get in to work. We've got off very lightly compared to the rest of the country)

Hi Izzie, one of my better days today, felt obliged to pen a few words after FoundSoul gently coaxed me into doing so. I used the word 'pressured' but that was not quite true just tried to be a bit cheeky, you know me. Hope the snow doesn't inconvenience you to much, so drive carefully when going to school. Bosun not ready for a slow dance yet, sorry.
