@izzythepush,
****, it's your birthday?

You know I love you. Sending you parcels you need to clarify, simply fill out the blank. Real maple syrup?

I can't afford real maple syrup, but I have virtual friends.. who won't send it to you either.

@izzythepush,

Did anyone else see the herd of mongooses on the golf? Or the flock of mongeese?

@McTag,

How are things with Izzie and the brookling babb?

We played a concert on Saturday: Mozart, Elgar, Parry and a modern piece (which was a world premiere! wow) to a packed audience and which was very well received.

On to the next, and meanwhile I've also been invited to play in the band for a production of the opera Noye's Fludde by Benjamin Britten which will be staged in March.
Looking forward to that. Never played in an opera before.

@mismi,
Hello miss sunshine, how are your feet? Wink
How are you feeling today Izzie, still on the improve?
Weather here has cooled off remarkably compared to last week, still pleasant though with no bush fires to worry about presently.
Prawn boat has arrived from its first trip and the Bosun has stocked up on prawns and lobster for Christmas thanks to my son.
Wishing all the crew a great week.

@Dutchy,
They are cool for now Dear Dutchy....Thanks for asking after them. Wink

I just found out my dad has a tumor on his kidney again. It is large and aggressive. There was no sign of it at his last scan three months ago. A little scary - but the docs have said they feel it should be easily removed. I am praying it is not cancer. We won't know until he has the surgery. My mom nagged the heck out of him because he has not been eating well and seemed to be feeling unwell. He is a busy person and he has been laying about lately - not like him at all. Thank goodness she kept at him until he went to the doc. I will know when the surgery is by tonight I hope. I may have to change my singing plans this weekend Izzie. Not sure yet. I will let you all know when I hear something. I have not posted on FB because all of mom and dads friends are on there as well and they don't want to talk about it until they have more details.

Hugs y'all,,
mis

Oh baby girl, I know how worried you must be - strength and support from this side of the pond for you and yours and especially for your PaPa...

have you heard when the surgery is?

You know Mis, if you can sing this weekend, depending on when PaPa undergoes the surgery, I am sure that it will give you more strength and a place to feel and express your faith (reading your pjMaMa) - I know it will be very hard to do and very emotional and you must go with what your heart tells you... so when you go to your PaPa, sing for him, just quietly as you hold his hand.

I will pray, as I do in my way, for your PaPa, you and all your family. You are loved very much. Holding your hand... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Health is not the best right now, nowt new there, getting kinda tired of being poorly, terribly tired - but 'eh, it's nearly time for the holiday's (tho we don't break up until the 21st!!!!!!!!!!) and Christmas is less than 3 weeks and my SoulSis and our girls are coming for New Year.

So, I iz embracing the season and llalalalllllllllllllalallaaing for goodwill to all folks.

@Izzie,
Good evening Izzie, good to see you on board, hope your weather stays good with no snow. Hope your health keeps improving and you're fit to be able to enjoys the Holiday period, particularly when FQ and her daughters are coming. (((Izzie)))

My thoughts are with mismi, hope the news is good miss sunshine and your Dad will recover soon should he have to have that operation. These things do happen when people get older mismi so pray he'll pull through. Nevertheless it puts a bit of a damper on the Christmas celebration for you and your family. (((mismi)))

Busy day ahead for the Bosun, have to take Mrs.B Christmas shopping and that is going to test my patience, not to say my wallet. If the past is any indication it will be an all day affair, ah well you girls know what I'm talking about. LOL Waves from down under.

@Izzie,
Thank you sweet friend. I appreciate your thoughts. I am pretty good. Talked to dad this morning and he says he feels great right now. No pain and even went down to the mission and served lunch to the folks so that makes me feel he is telling me the truth. He is going to see the surgeon in the morning and I will know how to proceed then. I am fairly certain with pre-op testing and such that the surgery will be next week at the earliest. As long as they feel that is not a risk then it does make things easier here. I would have left them in a pickle had I said I am going to Mobile. They could have easily replaced me - it is just such a late notice it would have stressed whoever they got.

I am tired. But peaceful. Daddy is not hurting right now - so I can be optimistic.

Thank you JPB. Smile I am doing amazing at not speculating. That only makes me more basket case like. Wink

Thankyou Dear Dutchy. Have fun shopping and I have no idea what you are talking about when you say it will be an all day affair. Wink

Dear Iz - I hope all those aches and pains sort themselves out soon. We get out the 21st as well. The boys canNOT wait. Smile

Hugs you all,
mis

@izzythepush,
Thanks Izzy..

I have hard news. It has been a very emotional day. Dad does have cancer. He saw his surgical oncologist this morning and the tumor is growing in his kidney and has metasticized to his spleen, colon, possibly his stomach and lung. He gets a biopsy on Tuesday to find out what kind of cancer and then will have surgery to remove his kidney, spleen part of his colon and possibly part of his stomach and lung. He will be in the hospital for over a week. Which means Christmas will be in the hospital. Breaks my heart.

I am spent. Seriously like a wet rag right now. I am going down to Mobile to be with he and mom for the next couple of weeks. I am sad to be away from my babies - but they are not out of school yet and the Prof just started this new job and needs to focus on it...but I am so happy I am free to go and take care of mom and dad the best I can.

I do ask for your thoughts and prayers. I want to be strong and make good decisions and help mom...I know she is scared....my throat hurts with all the tears I have NOT cried (which is hard to imagine I have more) I am amazed at how apt that little phrase always is. Totally sucks.

I will do my best to keep you all up to date. My faith is strong. I am taking one moment at a time. NO speculating. I will deal with each thing as it comes. And I hope I deal with each thing well.

Hugs to you all...
missy

@mismi,
Mis, my darling, love and more love to you and yours. Sent eml to you, for when you can pick up. ((((((((((((Missy)))))))))))) love you much x

Strength, love, hope and all best wishes from across the pond. We'll talk very soon Mis, fer sure. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

((((((((PaPaDixie)))))))))) wishing well, healing thoughts across the seas and love to all your family. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Talk as often or little as you wish, just know we are here to be with you if you want to talk or vent... or anything. You don't have say anything, we'll put up deckchair and just sit for a while - and I'll put the kettle on a?

It's good the boys are still in school and you can just concentrate on MaMa and PaPaDixie. Take your time with them - the boys can phone and skype with you and they will have loads of stuff going on at school. Ask your friends and anyone whom you trust to help out and maybe bring some casseroles or food dishes over for The Professor and the kids whilst you are in Mobile. You will find folks goodwill right around the corner and they'll be more than eager to assist you in your community.

I am a bit numb right now. Don't quite know what to do. I do have to start packing. I need to figure how we handle Christmas with the boys and this...I really...just really don't know. But hopefully as each day unfolds I will know.

Love back...truly.
