The latest big star from Australia is Liam Hemsworth. My daughter Katrina worked on the casting of his upcoming movie, "Love and Honor."

Actually both actor Anthony LaPaglia and actress Poppy Montgomery were born in Australia. My daughter Katrina had the good luck to meet both when she worked on casting for the American television show Without A Trace.

Anthony LaPaglia was born in my hometown and is well known here. He played soccer here in his younger days and all of his family still lives here, except 2 brother who live in the US. Comes home regularly between filming schedules. His mother is Dutch and his father Italian, both migrants to Australia.

I am very proud of Katrina. Without A Trace proved to be a big break for my daughter. She received many casting jobs after that. When I visited her in Los Angeles, I got to see how she does her work. She videotapes actors and actresses auditioning for parts on television and in movies. She reads dialog with them from the scripts. She sends the videos to her bosses and makes recommendations.

Actors and actresses are ordinary people. Their job is very unusual because they have millions of people watching them perform on television and in movies. I only have two or three people watching me do my work.
