@mismi,
Good Morning (((((((((((Crew)))))))))))))))))

Gosh, what a totally gorgeous day! This could be the last of the sunshine for a while and possibly the last grass cut for a while; it's a tad brrrrrrrrrrrrr (frosts have begun)... but it's lovely out there today and not a cloud in the sky. The stars last night were... breathtaking - pottered outside until nearly 2am (big 'ole coat)... but man, it was fab. We're being hit by a storm tomorrow, low pressure and gales and we're expecting branches down and nekkid trees... so... off to the garden to make the most of this sunny autumnal day and then continue with the furniture shuffling later.

Wishing y'all safe and well, thinking of those far and near xxxx

I did the same, I was trimming hedges and the grass was a bit wet to be cut. Good thing too, I didn't feel like spending any more time out there. Too bright.
I don't like to garden if it's too windy, too hot, too bright, too wet or if rain is threatening. And some days I don't feel like it anyway.

Only kidding, a bit, but my bass doesn't play itself, you know.

@McTag,
I am just in awe, over colours of " insects/animals"... It is creepily BEAUTIFUL.

Speaking of which IZZIE, from the "WITCH" you promised more photos of your gardens Smile

You're such a lovely soul dear mismi, always knows when Dutchy is joking.
Thank God someone does Wink

Having admired our gardens today on this Spring day, I came home to find the outdoor umbrella had snapped in half? (wooden), must have been a huge gust of wind.........[youtubehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Z6DRwz1gjI] [/youtube]

I hope sleepy Adelaide is safe...........

Wishing continual happiness with all.

I'm in a bit of a flat spin with this new hobby of mine.

In the Wednesday orchestra we are starting Beethoven Symphony No. 1, and have been playing the English Folk Song Suite by Vaughan Williams.
In the Saturday ensembles we are playing Schubert's Unfinished, Corelli's Concerto Grosso suite, a Shostakovich waltz, and other assorted stuff including film music.
In the big band we are playing jazzy arrangements at speed.

And I've got other stuff to learn for my teacher.

Difficult, but rewarding.

@Izzie,
It is rainy here right now, but not stormy as yet. I made sure I got a white and dark wash done yesterday, and managed to get almost everything dried for free in the sunshine, just having to finish off the wee lad's school shirts in the tumble drier. His collars were still damp.

@izzythepush,
Heard from the Captain what sort of weather you're having izzythepush, doesn't look promising, blowing a gale where she lives.

Good to hear from you Izzie, enjoyed the chat and did as you requested a big hug for Mrs.B. LOL (((Izzie)))

Busy week ahead for the Bosun, relative from the old Country dropping in for a few days, which means a lot of running around, slow at my pace. LOL

Waves from downunder.

Hi all!

Don't seem to have much time these days to post but could do with it! life is just so busy! Keeping up with stuff is hard! So much to do all the time! Think I should have gone into more physical work like gardening!

Sgirl has a new boyfriend, he seems ok, very pleasant, plays lots of instruments and wants to go to Uni to study engineering. Fboy is doing ok but worry he is on his own a lot!

The weather has been so wet! Am grateful for an hour or two of no rain!

So am about to cook tea! Bit late but better late than never!

Hope all of you are keeping well and safe
Hugs to one and all XX

I've just started with a miserable cold and so, after getting up early this morning and wrestling with my conscience, I decided to give the music groups a miss this morning so as not to spread it.
And this will be the last dry day for a while, so I'll get the lawnmower out later.

I see the captain is rationing her visits to address the crew...not a bad thing from one point of view. But we loyal crewmen wish her well.

Heading to Glasgow and thereabouts at the end of the week. **** - the weather there's worse than midwinter here. Why on earth do I travel that way at this time of year. Must be a slow learner.

Absolutely magic spring weather in Sin City at present - and...someone must have goofed - a public holiday Monday to enjoy it!

@margo,

Glasgow? Is that the one I know, or is there one in Oz?

@margo,

Oft have I travelled on Strome ferry. Good for Applecross.

@margo,
I have had so many emails and calls on this so called "Public Holiday", is it only in certain States? In Australia, like mine, Sleepy Adelaide? Seriously..... Smile

Enjoy your trip, I need a holiday, sorry about all the illnesses we are looking fine at 25 degrees soon, roll on the proper spring I say.

That's what I'm afraid of. I got a call to send some heavy duty insect repellent last year - apparently they were recommended a particularly strong "tropical strength" Oz brand - so I dutifully bundled up 3 containers. No such requests this year - so they must be managing - or the weather's been too awful even for midges?

Rain I'm prepared for - I'm carrying the heavy duty raincoat after it and my luggage stayed in London last time and the weather was just as foul as expected. Someone travelling about 30 hours, from magnificent Sydney spring, is just not dressed for Glasgow weather.

@margo,

Wind strong at the moment, so the midges can't fly. But as soon as they get a bit of calm or some shelter......
