@Dutchy,
((MY DEAR DUTCHY))

All is well here. Of course it's the opposite here. Warm and muggy. ew.
I have not heard from her. Not on FB and not here. I keep poking my head in here hoping she has posted. I will link arms with you and hope that the "no news is good news" holds true.

How's the energy these days?

@mismi,
Just been for a walk but progress is oh so slow, perhaps I'm being impatient and trying to hard. Seeing my Cardiologist on the 19th of June and see what he thinks. Fingers crossed for Izzie and hope all is well on the Moors. Has the Prof. found work yet?

@Dutchy,
No. He found out the one job I really wanted for him was offered to someone else. I just have to trust that it was not meant to be. He had an interview with another hospital here in town and one in Mississippi (yikes). He has a second interview with the other hospital here in town on Wednesday. So we are optimistic. I will be teaching in the public schools come fall though. I have orientation in July. I am thankful. And excited.

Do take it slow Dear Dutchy. I know you are vital and want to be back at 100% - and you will be. Hugs to both you and your sweet wife.

Izzie gone to ground?
Can't blame her.
Wondering how all this's going to pan out.

Best wishes and that, from crew members up here.

We've got a concert next Saturday evening, for our small orchestra.

Beethoven 7th Symphony (Second Movement), "Egmont" Overture, and bits from John Williams' "Star Wars" Suite.

Looking forward to it. Should be good.

@annis,
Morning annis, you've done well, would you like to come over here and do some more. No need for an aching body you can always relax in the spa afterwards. Smile

Have you been in touch with Izzie, she seems to have disappeared, worried about her!

Transit of Venus time.

Watched a pile of folks with fancy cameras and telescopes and tripods getting ready on my streetcar ride home.

@ehBeth,
Hi Beth - had a friend who went to Huntsville Space and Rocket Center to try to see it. He said he couldn't see a thing! But still...cool stuff happening in the sky these days.

We are so cloudy here it's hard to see some of it - even the moon is hard to catch.

Have a good day folks. Thoughts are with you Iz. Love you hun.

Hi all!

Been a bit hectic! Sgirl had her friend stay for 2 nights, Fboy had Sboy over we have played games and such! Then had a call to say my Mum had slipped walking the dog, she sat in a puddle for 10 minutes until some kind person helped her home! She refused to go hospital! I was trying to get things sorted my end but it is difficult when I live so far away from her! Got my sister on the train traveling home from work (London), she went around to Mum's, meanwhile I managed to get hold of a neighbour! Mum was adamant no Doctor, hospital or anything! So she took painkillers and went bed! Woke this morning in pain and my sister got her to hospital! She had broken her arm at the shoulder joint in 2 places!! But they can not put it in plaster because of the way it is broken! So it is in foam sling! She is home, with lots of pain killers and TV meals!! But she is still insisting on taking the dog for a walk!

The weather here is very nasty! Gales and rain, also cold! So kids and I are now chilling after such a worrying time and busy!

Hugs to all and hope you are all ok X

May I safely assume that the Captain and her charge are sheltering from the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune or should the question be, whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer or to take arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing end them?

I was seeking an answer just as I was searching for an onomatopoeia the other day, however they can be rather elusive because nomatopoeias are not the same across all languages; I agree they conform to some extent to the broader linguistic system they are part of; hence the sound of a clock may be tick tock in English, dī dā in Mandarin, or katchin katchin in Japanese.

Ideally I require a person with a curvaceous persona and a large rack who is familiar with verba dicendi as a method of integrating onomatopoeia and ideophones into grammar.

Due to the enormous diversity of A2K interaction I am particularly interested in cross-linguistic cognates of onomatopoetic sounds from foreign shores; and before you ask, ‘What shores?’

Make mine a mint julep with a double shot of bourbon; and hold the ice.

Sweet folks it’s been great visiting with y’all today, we must do it again sometime soon. In the interim, have a fun weekend and may all your dreams come true.

Postscript: Thank you Jemima Puddle-Duck Bouverie (JPB) you have already made my dream come true.

Post- postscript: Tulip, I hope your Mom recovers quickly.

@annis,
Awee, that is horrible... Hugs...

I know the older generation refuse to turn on the air-con, save money but not going to hospital in so much pain and how horrible to sit in a pool of water for 10 minutes.... Got to love the love she has for her dog though.. Sending wishes of warmth.

TryAgain I just don't qualify with any of that, well maybe one, but I ain't telling you which one. Wink

Good morning from Adelaide Australia, it's 14 today, coooold brrr, off to sell a house, keep telling myself ... It has to happen.....

@FOUND SOUL,
Morning crew, pretty cool downunder, so won't venture outside to long.

Sorry to read about your mothers misadventure Tulip, I do hope she recovers quickly from her ordeal. Must be frustrating she lives so far away from you/

Tryagain I can see your problem, to find a person with a curvaceous rack amongst our crew is quite a task. I have a feeling a volunteer may show up sooner than later. Wink

Hello Found Soul, welcome aboard this morning, if you're looking for a job, tryagain is your man! Smile

Pretty cool up top too.

Blustery, wet, floods in Wales, gales in Cornwall, "flaming June" it isn't, well not in that sense anyways.

But are we downhearted? Never! We are like the opera singers on top of the barge.

May your gods go with you.
