STANLEY is a friend from America. He was sent to me from the little son of Bubba and the Kelmeister-Girlie in Texas. He is being sent around the world on a voyage of discovery. BabyBubba has requested that I show STANLEY around my world and then post him back to BabyBubba's classmates in Texas with some prizes from England.

. STANLEY then discovered the most amazing stone
.dated 1749. (He wanted to give the Texas kids an idea of the age of the church and the history that England has.
LEW TRENCHARD is chiefly notable as the parish of the Rev. Sabine Baring-Gould (1834-1924), one of the best known of all Devonshire 'parsons, who was rector here for 43 years. He was one of the last of the "squarsons," a hymn-writer, theologian, antiquary, novelist, and musician, who published over a hundred volumes. Among his many achievements he collected the old folk songs of Devon and (with Cecil Sharp) published them. His two volumes of Reminiscences are very readable.
The church (St. Peter) is mainly an over-restored 15th century building. The woodwork is, however, notable. The medieval rood-screen was destroyed by Baring-Gould's grandfather in 1833, but Baring-Gould collected the fragments as a boy and had it reconstructed in 1899. It is a fine example of modern carving. The pulpit, modelled on the ancient pulpits of Kenton and Launceston, was added in 1900. The church contains some carved Tudor bench-ends, and many of good modern workmanship. There are several Gould memorials, mostly incised slate slabs from the early 17th century onwards. Lew House and estate were bought by the Goulds in 1625. The house is partly of that period, but was much restored by Baring-Gould out of the proceeds of his copious books. The Dower House by the river Lew is dated 1664.)
STANLEY then visited LewTrenchard Manor - he loved the fact that whilst being shown "history" there was an Aston Martin DB7 parked out front!
STANLEY then came to Chez Izzie for a family meal
.the final meal at this house for the girls
PANCAKES!!!!!!!!!! The kids love to make pancakes and STANLEY just loved the way we do pancakes!
STANLEY also took the Maddie-dawg for a walk with Charlie (love her my soulmate)
STANLEY did many things today! K folks - now you're all probably thinking the screw really is loose
..
but we had so much fun doing this with the children. I'm sure the kiddies in Texas will see a little bit of my world and hopefully
smile.
STANLEY had some laughs today and I think he would also like to be an HONOURARY crew member aboard our ship. How happy is that.
So crew, I'm on the Insomniac Watch for a little while and am making a cuppa if anyone would like to join me on the deck.
I'm smiling big! This day was one of those real special ones. It's been brill.
Lovely crew - I hope that all of you have a good day and that tomorrow will be great for you.
Crew - you are the Best
