So if you are looking after the pennies may I entreat you to Try a recipe suggested by my favorite dark haired Alabama squeeze:

“Sausage Pomodoro - so yummy over linguine - and cheap!

Take Polska Kielbasa, slice it up and cook it in the frying pan, when they are warmed through I add 1-2 cloves of garlic. Add 2 Tsp of corn starch to the sausage and let it coat it (while it's in the pan) cook for a minute or 2, Dump a can of sliced stewed tomotoes - undrained, 1 tsp of oregano, and 1/2 tsp basil and 1 small can of tomato sauce.

Allow to simmer until thickened a bit - pour over linguine. Totally yummy!”

We brought in the New Year with a bottle of champagne that I'd been given for my 40th birthday... I wanted to keep it for a special occasion and to pop it for 2012 couldn't be more special - it was most pleasant ... and it was so good to be with Tulip and our kids. ((((Tulip, thank you)))) x

I saw the New Year in watching Jool's Hootenanny with Champagne (sorry Cava) cocktails. I got a bottle of strawberry liquer with wild strawberries in it, it mixes with sparkling wine a treat.


Happy New Year to all the wonderful people on A2K who have made 2011 so much more interesting.

Morning izzythepush, best for the New Year to you and yours too. That looks quitea tasty drink but for me it is cold beer right now with the temperature hoovering around 42 degrees.

Morning Dutchy and all, it is a tasty drink, but you have to mix it up, with beer you only have to open it, that's always an advantage. It won't be long before I give drinking a rest after all the Yuletide festivities. Not today though, there's a football match on, Southampton are playing Brighton.

Tag, I used to live in Newcastle, and have always been a bit luke warm towards the Mackems, but nicking the game in the last couple of minutes was brilliant. I always cheer when the big clubs lose.

A lot of folk up there doubtless concur. I respectfully do not. Man City haven't had enough time to get used to being a "big club" yet. We're still getting nosebleeds from being at the top of the table. Some big matches coming up, may we please have a bit of support, there.

I'm happy to see City triumph over United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, but as for the rest I'll be giving what little support I have left after Southampton, Gillingham and Newcastle to the underdog. Ideally I'd love to see one of the above big 4 get relegated, but I know that's never going to happen.

I see you are stalking me again! LOL! How in the world did you find that? Who would have thought you would even care? Nuts. Well...now you know more about the real me. I can see you are making fun...that's alright. I can handle it.

Of course I didn't get it all done dear Izzie ((Izzie)) Thanks for hoping...but I will keep trying. My house looks like it blew up. I have G-baby's mattress just leaning against the wall in the hall and his room is upside down. I am trying to re-do his room. It is a bloomin' mess. But...since I don't have a job right now - I should be able to get something done while the kids are in school. I hope anyway.
