@Izzie,
I don't agree about the winter sun, it turns the road into one huge reflective service. I'm just looking for something to grumble about. As we're posting vids, this one always reminds me of childhood Christmases.

Razz

no no no, that's the whole point, it's not the sunlight, it's the light behind the cloudy darkness - winter light (to me) is soft - summer light can be very harsh and to throw a humbug or two, reflected light is the best light of all. Very Happy

So, this was Christmas in my kidhood

gotta love a wizard!

@Izzie,
Thaks for the offer, but I've just found a fantastic new use for boiled sweets, (hard candy). If you put then in vodka and leave them for 24 hours, you get delicious flavoured vodka. I've just made some butterscotch and strawberry sherbert flavour. At a recent concert I went to, the band in your video were referred to as The Wizard. Terrible!

Yo homie’s whassup!

Oh boy what a week; some people don’t know their right from the left. I have the most harrowing tail to convey; one which will sound like fingernails scratching on your very sole…

Yes; it’s a fishy tale!

Thanks Frank for flagging up the cartography error, I will seek your assistance with future travel plans.

Good to see you Izzie, the German song reminds me of Stalag Luft III, oh those were the days. I am sure S boy had a great time and travelling is part of the adventure.

Brooke baby, are you sure you can spare the time to talk to all these kind folks coz you know I iz coming back home soon.

Missy, hope you, the Professor and all your family have the very best Christmas (are you allowed to say Christmas on A2K?) and don’t worry about me, I guess the soup kitchen will be open for two hours on Christmas day <Cough> <cough>.

Dutchy you dear swagman, free to travel where the breeze takes you; throw another prawn on the Barbie for me mate and may you and your misses have a goodun.

JPB, Osso, Roberta, Stormy, Beth et al, have a great time. x

So, this was Christmas in my hood…

Hey Izzie, Dutchy, mismi, JPB, Try and everyone.....

Hope everyone is getting all geared up for the holidays. I'm sitting in a garage waiting for an inspection and oil change...then off to the mall to finish up with the shopping. I can't wait for the holiday break. I'm thinking the new year will be bringing some positive events at work.

quoting Try " some people don't know their right from their left" You should try teaching some of my students! Smile I love them all though.

Have a wonderful holiday everyone...take care of yourselves.

Enjoy your holiday break Girl! I'm with you on the New Year bringing positive events.

Your students are so fortunate to have you as their teacher. We've broken up now and it's time for Christmas cheer!

Whilst we're cheering and you're uptown - here's something to sing-a-long to whilst you're waiting! Wink

Have a fantastic holiday Stormy - big hugs to y'all. Keep warm. Enjoy your festivities (((((Stormy)))))x

Awwwwww... I will open up a can of pork and beans and break out the possum stew - just for you. Wink Put the PBR's on ice and we'll have ourselves a party. The Professor would LOVE to have a fellow hillbilly in the shack.

You can always say Merry Christmas to me - no matter where it is. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa - just Happy Holidays to all.

I have the house all to myself...well me and the dogs anyway. And I think one of them has gas. Which is always unfortunate. Ugh. And of course they are always underfoot...I lit a candle - that should help clear the air. Lerd, I needed that.

Izzie - I am so thankful that S had such a wonderful time. Rest up and take care of you.

Woo poo boopty doo. (Betty Boop)

Hugs to all...

@mismi,
Good morning all, great to see we've had some interesting visitors overnight. Welcome to our resident 'hillbilly' tryagain who'se come down from them hills to bring us his Christmas Wishes. Very much appreciated young man, to you and your 'Sheila' also the very best for Christmas and enjoy the soup.

Another one to surface was Stormy, started to think she was snowed under but obviously end of the year school work took priority. Best wishes to you and yours too.

Must not forget to say hi to mismi, ehBeth and Izzie, will catch up with all of you before Christmas. I know you will be all busy preparing for the big day so won't bother you to much.

Wishing all the crew a great weekend.

@mismi,
yep Mis & BEAgle, it's very good to have him home safe and sound and he's so happy to be back in his own bed

Ooooooooooooh.... he didn't stop talking for two hours - no no, he didn't even draw breath Shocked (can't imagine where he get's that from!) ... he's come home with so many fabulous memories and so many stories to tell and I'm sure many more of his adventures will come out over the next few days. It's so lovely to hear him so chipper. He's going to his Dad's on Thursday and coming back to me on Friday morning, so he has a few days here to chillax, tho I'm sure he'll be wanting to see Tulip's F-boy.

They flew to Geneva and then crossed the border into France staying at Alpe D'huez...

he absolutely loved the whole experience - was awed by the scenery and has obviously laughed his sox off for the whole week - there were 34 of them incl 4 staff.

ha! he got 5 awards: 4 muppet awards (for idiocy) and 1 smack award (worst fall of the day) Razz

they've all come back with colds (bless) and he's coughing away still - but boy, did he have a good time - his little face is just beaming.

just a few of his snaps

hey Special Agent... ha! Yes, his photos with my little iddy biddy camera - I reckon if he had my camera his shots would be even more amazing Mr. Green At the mo, he wouldn't know his ISO from his elbow Wink so everything was on auto with flash (gah flash) but I'm gonnna show him how to do the settings on a DSLR next year - and then I believe he will wow y'all with his shots. He really captured the depth of the mountain - I love his mountain shot!

Yep - he finds the most interesting folk to talk with - and being he's quite teeny with a big personality - he does tend to have a lot of 'big sisters' who just adore him - love that for him! Very Happy
