I have had a stressful week. Biscuit bit Pistol. Apparently my girl is a bit hormonal and got tired of Pistol trying to hump her. So - she bit him.
BUT - apparently it got infected and caused an abcess the size of an orange. He has been at the vet since Wednesday. Two surgeries later, we are looking forward to him coming home Monday. They aren't sure if it was Biscuit - they said it could be a spider bite...but it looked pretty big to me. And Biscuit has put Pistol in his place a couple of times in the last couple of weeks. So I figure it was her. I have missed my boy though. He is the only man in this house that looks up at me with adoring eyes and does what I say. I need him back pronto.
Left Naples in absolutely stonking weather yesterday afternoon, great visibility for the flight, the city looked great and the bay looked wonderful, and Vesuvius with no cloud cap looking like a big eggcup, Capri and Ischia gracing the sunny sea.
What a marvellous region. Orange trees, lemons and olives in profusion, prickly pears and persimmons, more fruit than you could shake a stick at, even on the street trees.
We stayed in Sorrento, and travelled to Positano and Amalfi, Ravello and all round there. We visited Herculaneum and Pompeii and saw quite a bit of Naples, including the National Museum of Antiquities where much of the goodies from the digs ended up.
We had a goodbye meal at the Due Lanterna restaurant in the Via Santa Maria delle Grazie...how Italian is that?

He is quite perky compared to last week. When I go visit him he butts my hand and keeps trying to walk out the door. Poor puppy. Doesn't want to stay there any more. BUT because the skin won't hold to the flesh he is having to stay longer. Yuck. It looks so horrible.
Poor, poor puppy... I do hope he recovers quickly and that he'll be home soon. I know how much you'll be missing him and he'll just want to be home with you. Scritches for Pistol. ((((((((Mis))))))))x

So we get to spend the day together which is cool. I have a hospital appointment thisavo - other than that, and his flute lesson tonight (cough cough cough breathe toot cough) we're gonna have a real quiet day.Australia is in a mess at the moment with its National Airline Qantas having being grounded by its CEO after major disputes with the Unions. Tens of thousands of Aussies are stranded all over the world!
Not looking good at the moment. The Bosun has booked his Christmas flight with Qantas to see his son and family, keep fingers crossed all is settled by then.
Not long 'til Christmas, I bet you are real busy there this half of term - I'm not sure why it's getting more and more busy at school - but certainly with school plays, trips and outings, our next half of term is going to be even busier than last half! ((Stormy))

We have all changed up. I still plan on going as a she-devil, since it is simple and no fuss...don't have to change much at all.
The boys have now gone from Napoleon Dynamite to Jason, Hobo and some kind of morphed hobgoblin. Silly boys.
Hope you all have a wonderful day. I am hoping to have my puppy home soon, Izzie. I am praying they let me pick him up from the vet today. I miss my Pistol.
