Three generations of a family – a two-week old baby girl, her mother and grandmother – were on Tuesday pulled out alive after surviving 48 hours in the rubble of a block of flats destroyed by an earthquake in eastern Turkey.

@Izzie,
Evening Izzie, pleased to hear you're getting visitors, should be a great weekend with your soul sister and family. Keep off the Bailey's won't you. Smile About to have my weeties and off to the airport to pick up I, she's happy to come as she can skip school for a couple of days. Queen Liz says hello to her loyal follower on the Moors, she's having a great time downunder. Hugs.

Anyhoo - S-boys gone into the city and I gotta go and hoover through - the kitties decided to rough and tumble and the fur has been flying - so they've been separated - naughty naughty kitties. Washing's on, then need to go and sort out some dinner Shocked

@Izzie,
S-boys no more a boy!!! huge fella hes bcome~!! (god bless!!)
I keep telling eby tht i wanna get H-boy play basketball to get him growing tall - and eby laughs at me!!!
glad tht u all liked the resort - Beagle - ul love the mist dance there Wink Wink we'll rope in the other ladies too Very Happy Very Happy and naaahhh i dint have chocolates but oohh this diwali!!! sweets
for those who like experimenting sweets at home - heres a recipe i had ystrday and it was heaven for me atleast - toooo sweeet i warn u
shahi tukra is waht we call it here - u can call it the bread pudding

ingredients
8 Bread Slices(cut the edges out and cut diagonally)
4 tbsp Ghee
1 litre Milk
1 cup Sugar
1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
1 tbsp raisins

Heat the milk and sugar stirring continuously.
Put 1 tsp ghee to prevent the milk from flowing over.
Reduce the milk to 1/2 qty. cool the milk.
Add the kismis and cardamom powder.
Fry the bread slices in ghee till golden.
Dip in milk for 2 minutes.
Remove and put in the milk paste prepared previously. freeze for a couple of hours and serve.

for those who reaallly wanna try this - but feel lost due to the indianism in it - here are the tips
1. u can do without the cardamoms
2. Ghee - if u dnt get it where u are - is nothing but butter melted. melt 250 gms of butter - take the liquid in a bottle - and ive gt ghee Very Happy Very Happy

its a lill tricky and tedious to prepare the milk paste -but its worh it - if u got the time and patience. Boil milk in a big enuf pan, keep stirring it for more than 10 mins, once u feel its thicker start adding the sugar, sugar tends to make it sticky and it might get burnt, so add this melted butter and keep stirring - hands may ache Wink still - Very Happy Very Happy
after uve added the sugar and tactfully have avoided the milk from getting burnt -ul see tht the milk has turned quite thick and slightly creamish yellow in color. then u can take it and por it over the bread!

Also - we dont deep fry the bread - just gently toss it in a pan so that it absorbs ghee and becomes soft. and dipping in milk in th literal sense may make ur bread soggy and break..so rather just keep the ghee tossed bread on a plate and then pour this milk paste on top of it and then freeze it for a couple of hours or more.

Bon appétit!

Don’t yeah just love ‘take yer clothes off Fridays?’ No, wait! That was Tuesdays; oh well, it’s nice out so I might as well leave it out.
Just hope it doesn’t rain or the washing will be ruined!

If I may just take a moment to reply to Frank – Yes, I do remember a kricket game during the dig, I was ‘12th man’ and got to take a hat out to the batsman. Then at half time we had tea and sandwiches in a wooden pavilion. I can’t remember the score, but it was a wonderful experience.

As a matter of fact I have three original prints of the 1846 Ordnance Survey map of Southampton on my office wall. Happy days.

Greetings Verby, may all your colorful gods bring bountiful blessings on you and all 1,210,193,422 of your fellow inhabitants. I just want to say that after a visit to the magnificent Government House in Calcutta, or if you are not speaking English (Bengali: রাজ ভবন Raj Bhôbon or perhaps Hindi Rāj Bhavan), I decided it was time I too had a place to call home.

What do y’all think of this (what we call a doer-upper?)
The guy said that the guy he got it from during the 1990s told him it was built in 1905.

The trees need a prune in the back yard.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo231/a2kforsure/Doerupper1.jpg

The garden is too small in the front.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo231/a2kforsure/Doerupper2.jpg

Parking is a little tight.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo231/a2kforsure/Doerupper5.jpg

The vegetable patch ain’t worth a damn.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo231/a2kforsure/Doerupper3.jpg

Do you think the drapes go with the décor?

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo231/a2kforsure/Doerupper7.jpg

The dining room is a little on the small side.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo231/a2kforsure/Doerupper8.jpg

The study is ok I guess.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo231/a2kforsure/Doerupper6.jpg

The wine room is a bit disco.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo231/a2kforsure/Doerupper9.jpg

Do you think the pool is a bit narrow?

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo231/a2kforsure/Doerupper10.jpg

I like the movie room though.

So, does anyone have any advice on makeovers?

Dear JW, I am so pleased your latest medical procedure was a success. As you are one of my favorite Canadian comedians may I wish you all the very best for a full and complete recovery and rehabilitation back into society.

Hugs to all.

@Tryagain,
Try...it's a hovel

Sell as soon as you can and buy something decent that doesn't need such an extensive re-do!
