Beyond the black stump is a favourite old Aussie saying…. And also our Bears description…

It basically means beyond the back blocks, far off in the backcountry, far from civilization.



Like other early Aussie sayings such as never-never country and beyond the Wallaby, beyond the black stump was an attempt to describe and give a sense of place, to what many believed was indescribable - those endless plains of inland Australia. And when people use the term two questions always arise; is there a black stump? And if there is, where is it? WHO KNOWS -

Our Bear is beyond….. a 100K beyond…and the A2K legend…."the indescribable" = the Bear here with A2K - HOW HAPPY IS THAT

Now, as we know, the Bear likes a Colossus and does a lot of CrossWordings

We know he climbs up to his tree each nite....and clambers down in the morning...


We know how good he is at a Lovatts...... and the LUUURVE games....


And we do know really how much he does around the house...including POWER CUTS ...oh and POSTING !


He LOVES to fish, to eat his fish - and especially cooking....and shopping...




We know he likes the gee-gees - especially his son's horse - hopefully his has better luck than Dad's bets......



We know he's been suffering from the heat lately.... and can also be pretty hot!


We know he's good on the internet.........and is always going shopping...


We know he's had a bluey with the Tax People.....no no no, not our TTHun


And we know how brilliant with cross-words he is.....


So here's to the man, and to the Legend :wink: He gets his T-shirt too...
