I've rather sworn off the booze of late, but if you twist my arm, I'll have a small malt.

Actually today I'll have a little champagne later, because I'm going to visit my father-in-law who is 90 years old today.

YOU WOULD NOT (well, actually y'all would quite easily Wink ) believe how stoopid I am

having done EVERYTHING in the house, no no, I mean EVERYTHING - changed all the beds, shuffled furniture, got all the stuff in the loft (PaPa did that bit) etc etc etc... it suddenly dawned on me about 15 minutes ago - it's not Bank Holiday this weekend Shocked Charlie's not coming 'til next weekend Mr. Green DOH!

HA! and everything has to be moved again on Monday morning when the carpet fitters turn up Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green

I even amaze myself at how stoopid I can be! Very Happy

So, I am sitting in rather a lovely lounge right now, kitty beside me, the birds are singing a wonderful symphony outside and the sun has started shining as evening descends

oh, and I just bust my fridge door - so it's stuck together with parcel tape Embarrassed

Might have to go and have a big long bath - ha, dust dust dust dust dust.

Holes in walls in Charlie's room have been polyfilled - so, may have to paint them tomorrow ... now... what colour shall we do Twisted Evil

@Izzie,

Well, that's better than finding out your visitors were coming a week earlier than you expected.

But only a little.

@McTag,
It is indeed - anyhoo, they would have got a shock and may have come to the conclusion they were in the wrong house Wink

The good news is that they will see the house with it's new carpets. Charlie knows how much these carpets have been bothering me so it will be great that I can get it to look really nice for when my soul sis is here. She's in Germany right now but I spoke to K-bro and all is good. I was so looking forward to asking the Lady at the Peter Tavy to pour a Malt for you - and will next week, and send you a pic darlin'. x

It'll give me time to make Charlie * K's room a little more respectable too as it was S-boys old room and it's covered in holes (not any more) from pics and blue tack, scrapes... and boy dirt.

I really just want to spruce this place up and finally call it mine, ya know.

Joints are taking their vengeance tho sadly - too much in too short a time - I find this so hugely frustrating when I felt sooooooo good about getting to do things and achieving something, albeit small, big for moi. Ah well.

'Snuff about moi - how are you going POMcT? Did you get the acceptance in the band and if so, when's your first concert. How's the bass???? Will you be on a new CD. You'll have to let me know when you play; like I said before, I will try and come up for it.

OK - tired - thinking of those near and far - lovin' the crew and ... ya know.. y'all are so great. Good good folk.

(((Missy))) - have a wonderful evening with the Professor.. (((Queen Dev))), you too girlie - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to you too in MI. Can you believe we were in a hotel together in Chi-town this time 2 years ago and you and CI with JPB took S-boy off to Pier One. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... such good memories even when I was a little sick. Then getting together with the Big Boys and visiting the Hancock Tower <long way down> ahhhhhhhhhhhh....

((((((((((lyBlue, miss you sweetie, always))))))))))) hugs to you and yours............x

Hi mismi, I congratulated you earlier on your special day, wishing you a great weekend.

Izzie is amazing, isn't she, a ball of energy once she gets going. Smile

Bosun having a quiet day, about to have a walk along the beach, nice sunny morning here although still very cool. Waves to all.

@Dutchy,
Morning Crew - super stunning outside today and so nice to see the sun shining - I put some solar lights in the garden about 10 days ago and so far they haven't lit up at night Confused as we've not had any lengthy sun breaks !!!! Mebbe today! Very Happy It's lookin' good.

Have GOT GOT GOT to give the grass a haircut today - <in best Eeyore voice - "oooooooooooh nooooooooo"> - that's such hard work especially as I've let it grow way too long - 'eh! I've not got so much energy today Embarrassed and my feet are very painful grrrr.

Decided it's not a wise plan to paint Charlie's walls today as all of S-boys bedroom has to be plopped into Charlies room (wooden floor) on Monday (how?) for the carpet to go down - so fresh paint is likely to get dunted - doh! Gonna sand them down tho - polyfilla's easy to sand - just mundane. Paint next week methinks when it's all back into place.

S-boy will be back tomorrow Very Happy

So, if I'm good and don't procrastinate too wildly Wink I should get that done and be able to relax tomorrow with S - he's gonna be a tad tired. He's so desperate to see Tulip's F-boy - has missed them all so much this holiday (they haven't seen one another since we broke up) - so we've promised they'll be spending time together before we all start back to school.

Missy - oooh good - kiddiesitters - and you and the Professor get to go and play - YAY! You have a brilliant time Dixie and make the most of your time together Wink love much ((((((((Missy)))))))xxxxx

BEAgle - ahhhhhhhh, beautiful - a walk along your beach <perfect> - that's when you take stock of how wonderful life is. Love you D - if I don't see you before you go to bed - have a big sleep and I'll catch you in the morning - hugs to you and MrsB. xx

((Blue smooches)) xox - thinking of you and yours x

Okeydokey - time for a green short back and sides - laterz crew x

@Izzie,
Love to give your grass a haircut Izzie, have a spare motormower in the shed.

Don't give our mismi any ideas, after 15 years she won't be procrastinating this weekend, if you know what I mean. Wink

S-boy will be happy to see you tomorrow, no doubt the feeling is mutual, have a great time together.

Not going to bed yet, off to watch the football on TV. (((Izzie)))

Wink

Well, all good intentions, my mower is sitting on the lawn but it's soooooo wet - so can't do anything out there until it's the dew has dried off a tad. So have made a cuppa and back to y'all here for a few minutes Razz

I have ordered some fodder though - and yes - MAYO - I remembered thank you Boida and Bethie. http://www.smileystar.com/smileys/msn-dancing-smileys/disco%20dance.gif

I was pottering around the house last night as I was talking to K-bro on the phone and realised I have so much of Charlie in the house. Every room has something of her in it in some way or another - mostly pictures that she has given me which wouldn't mean diddly to anyone else, just us. Then I thought about their house and realised most of their photographs are ones I've taken over the years. Gave me the warm and fuzzies. Can't wait for them to come down next weekend.

Done done done done done

One (wo)man went to mow, went to mow a meadow.... lallallllaaaaaaaaaaaalla

Been doing a Charlie Dimmock (ha, Taggers will know what that means) Wink, secateurs had a bit of workout too and have been d'weeding. I do now have green fingers Shocked nasty soggy grass cuttings! Weather can't make it's mind up - one minute sunny, next, Mother Nature is debating whether or not to rain.

Off with my tea now 'doon 't river' and gonna paddle a bit. Toots are soooooooooooooooo sore (marbles underneath). Have only myself to blame really as I postponed my hospital appt last Monday. Shoulda picked up my new orthotics with the gel soles to go in my trainers (yeah yeah, I'm an eejit!) - but then again, couldn't make myself go to the hospital again Embarrassed - so, nem'mind.

Catch y'all laterz. x

@Izzie,

Charlie Dimmock was known mainly for one thing...maybe two. Yes Izz......no, I won't go down that path. You're leading me on. Wink

I'm waiting for two weeks dry weather before I cut my too-long grass. That's my excuse.

Band, still knocking on the door, new season approaches. In The Mood, I am.
Been playing Jumpin' At the Woodside today.
The guy "in the chair" is a professional, so I'm second-string, for when he's got other gigs.
I've got other outlets too, though, to keep me amused. Wearing my fingers down to the knuckles.

@McTag,
ahahaha - you got-it!!!! She was also known for being firey as well as liberated Wink and didn't take no nonsense from anyone http://www.giuspen.com/emoticons/_no.gif Loved that show - she was STRONG!!!

Actually, our Tulip reminds me of Charlie Dimmock - she has a little garden that is full to bursting with the most exquiste plants. I truly have no idea how she does all that needs to be done to maintain it - she shuffles her garden as much as I shuffle furniture - but hers is simply STUNNING. I must go take a pic of it (if she let's me) and post it - AND she grows all her own veggies too. She's pretty cool, that Tulip - bit like our AlexChap and Didge in the garden. I'm so not Embarrassed Mr. Green

anyhoo - little fella has LANDED - very excited he was - he's on his way back to Deb'n now but staying at this PaPa's tonight as it's gonna be a late one. If he comes home he'll be so full of beans he will never stop jumping - so it's best he has a real good night sleep at his Dad's and then we get to spend some relaxing time tomorrow. Can't wait to see him - fer sure, he has had the very best holiday ever. Happy for him.

Taggers - glad they're knocking on your door darlin' - know it means a lot to you and you will do them proud. It's so wonderful listen to a true musician live - you should be so proud of you. Send my love to the Cabin Boy - hope she had a great night out for the 21st party. (((((Taggers and Cabin Boy)))) x

Tard now - gotta make a few changes on the food order but may be too late so best go and sort that out now.

Missy - ENJOY DIXIE QUEEN - LOVE and big HUGS to you and the Prof! xxx

((((((lyBlue)))))))xox and yours x

Thinking of those near and far - be safe, be well...
