@Dutchy,
Hey BEAgle - going in an hour or so, so still here for the moment listening to 50 decibels and lallalallaing. Gosh, really, have missed all the tennis - but if there's a Roger fix to be had, well, I shall go and see when it's on - may make the ironing a little more tolerable Wink Best go check the time after I've dedawg&kittyfurred the house.

Take it easy BEAgle - and if you're watching the tennis, I'll do a game set and match with you - LOVE x

@Izzie,
Hello dear girl. Have fun at Tulips. ((Izzie))

The boys did great after camping. J actually beat the Nationals team 15-4. It was hot yesterday - around 98 degrees. I got burned...forgot the sunscreen. So I was wiped yesterday afternoon - but am doing great this morning. Got my first 7 7 hour stint of sleep in about a week. Amazing how much better I feel. I have been averaging about 5 hours a night. I definitely am a 7 hour girl.

G-baby lost his game. Their team got stomped actually. Thankfully he doesn't get his feelings hurt by it. He went and spent the night with a sweet friend and is happy as a lark.

I cannot wait until these next two weeks are over. I feel like there is a big shadow (and it's heavy too!) weighing on me. Will be so glad when the audit team comes and gets it done.

JPB - hope you are staying off that knee and that it is feeling better. So sorry that happened. I know it has to be frustrating! ((JPB))

((Dutchy)) Hope you had a happy Sunday - rest well. Smile

I have to go get syrup out of the carpet spilled by one of my munchkins. I didn't know it was there until I stepped in it. I stopped. I stared at it. I hollered. And then I walked away. I am now ready to clean it up. Smile

Hugs y'all.

Do try not to worry about your audit - you'll be good Mis - please, don't worry yourself. Enjoy your Sunday MsMis - love you much x <passes aftersun>

It's a gorgeous day here. Absolutely gorgeous. I got a bunch of my flowers planted and the boxwoods laid out where they're going to go along the front windows. I've got one flat of impatiens, a half dozen wavy petunias and the boxwoods left to plant and I'm done. It's going to have to wait until tomorrow as the sun is too high right now to do any more planting. Mr B is digging a Very Big Hole for the lilac bush I bought a couple weeks ago. Oh, wait... I've also got to dig up a bunch of spotted nettle from the back and transplant it along the front steps. I love June!

My knee is improving (still achy) and my ankle seems fine. I think I dodged any serious injuries this round. Note to self: Do Not Get Distracted While Going Down Stairs!!!

Enjoy your tennis, Dutchy and Iz. Glad you had fun camping, Miss. Waves to spendi and the rest of the crew.

@JPB,
waves to the convalescent.

I'll be doing a bit of gardening soon. I'm moving house. Potatoes, carrots, beans, peas, lettuce, strawberries and the like is my idea of gardening. Plenty of muck and deep digging. I'll have a greenhouse too. For tomatoes and one or two other bountiful natural beauties.

@Izzie,
Morning Izzie and others, sorry your man couldn't do it, Nadal got the better of him in the end.

Good to hear your leg escaped serious damage JPB, no stairs in my house, so no problems there. Smile

Nice garden spendi, keeps you fit.

Where is mismi? Still have the sunscreen ready!

@Dutchy,
Morning Crew

Ah, yep BEAgle, such a shame for Roger - Nadal did well and played a better game... not sure what it is about him, hmmmmm, I'm not overly keen on him tho he is more than a fabulous player... but Roger is magnificent Wink Hope you manage to catch up on some sleep x

Anyhoo - Osso - lovely to see you - hoping you are well. I've been reading you in various threads - I love the way your memories pop into your head and you write them out, chittering away - love it. Do send my love to Diane if you see her.

JPB - so so glad your knee isn't causing you too many problems - do take it easy tho a? Oooooooooh... love the plantings - will try and post up a pic of the garden <along with the pebbles I was talking to POMcT aboot> - too many things to do and too little energy to actually do it - racing thoughts lately. Wipes me out. ((J))x

Spendi - moving a? Hope that all goes well for you - gosh, it was nearly 3 years to the day that I moved here Shocked - doesn't seem possible. Ha - your kind of gardening is very heartening - I wish I was a "grow your own" - I've never been one to have green fingers - I so wish I was - but I think I'm either too lazy, too impatient or too off with the fairies - photographically tho, it would be a great thing to do. My PaPa used to grow everything possible for the nursing home and I remember those days as if they were yesterday, digging up the spuds in the wall garden and hours and hours with my granny topping, tailing and slicing beans - they still do grow heaps of things and the freezer is chocka with runner beans! They're very disappointed that I don't grow things - but nem'mind. I gave my greenhouse to friends a couple years back and the empty space is now occupied by a blue rotary line - occasionally used. Are you moving soon or a little further down the line?

MissyMis - how's you today? Deep breath in, deep breath out. You're methodical - you'll be fine with the audit. Don't worry. Love you Dixie x

Boida - I've been trying to sort some animal pics for your BACrew - ha, they'll come and fits and spurts no doubt. ((Boida)) x

Hoping TC and MrFixit have moved all their stuff and settled into the Great White North. Nice to see Didge back and aboot the board.

((Bluedodally - miss you - smooches)) xox and yours x

OK - the sun has decided to come out after a grey morning, it's gorgeous out there. I'm so very tired today... it's 9.18am and I've only been up a few hours and am beside myself with fatigue - so, tho the day's a callin' and I'd love to be enjoying it - I need to go and rest up for a while - oof - so sooooooooo tired. Little fellas back at school and I'm back to work tomorrow.

Will catch y'all later and 'til then - y'all have a good day the world - thinking of those near and far ...

@Izzie,
Hi Izzie, have a good rest my friend, you obviously need it. The Bosun had a few nods today, not hard to do in front of a warm fire. My youngest grandson phoned me last night to tell me he played his first soccer match and even scored a goal. The little bloke, just 6, couldn't wait to tell me, I promised him $5.00 next time I see him. Smile

@Dutchy,
Bloody skinflint. My Uncle Joe, who was badly wounded on a French beach, in fact was the first soldier to make it back to England, as befits a family with my sensitive DNA, used to give me half-a-crown after Mass every Sunday. And in those days that was a lot of dough. You could get five Woodbines, two bottles of pop, fish and chips with peas and gravy, a fake spider from the jokeshop, a pack of five Ugandan postage stamps and a gobstopper. And you could get two old pennies back on the empty bottles which Jennifer Whiteside and Shiela Schofield would show you their whatsits for. And both of them now live in spacious detached bungalows (geddit? bung a low--sheesh!) set in well laid out grounds and drive to the Health and Fitness Club in their very nice wheels 3 times a week and their five kids all have dressed up jobs. I see Jennifer's husband now and again and I always give him a friendly wink.

What can the goal-scoring hero get for a measly five Aussie dollars? And one who rings you up like that. The phone call alone is worth 50. Scientific vidence of a footballing gene wrapped up in an expression of love for an old salt like you. I bet you have spent thousands of 50 dollars on things that can't come close to that as pleasure giving.

PS-you didn't need to buy matches because it was easy to cadge a light. Or steal a few. Anyway--I had a little magnifying glass you could set fire to things with if the sun was out. I haven't seen anybody strike a match for years.

Yabberers to the rescue. Dutchy's honour is at stake. Was $5.00 a typo.

@spendius,
Spendi - little bit contrary today a?

au contraire

BEAgle - little fella's gonna be chuffed to bits I reckon Very Happy Yep, did need some sleep - feel all the better for it too.

Unfortunately, dropped my spanky new laptop on it's side and busted it <slaps wrist> - I was in a state of semi-comatose at the time - stupid stupid woman - it still works fine (I think) just the the casing is split and coming away from the bottom - dagnabbit (as our Mis would say Wink ) - gonna have to get it repaired at some stage... not sure when tho.

Fabulous evening here - big huge white clouds in a seamlessly blue sky and sunshine galore - the school run is the most beautiful drive with poiple rhododendrons lining the road - love where I live right now. Might just have to take a video and make y'all car sick again Wink

k - dinner's cooking - chicken fillets, cheddar cheese and ham sauce, pasta - nom nom nom

Laterzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz x

g'day eh
bright sunshiny day here
I think
sitting in an audit pit - far from the nearest window - though I can see the edge of one in the distance
upside, there's gotta be an upside

yes?

chicken fillets in sauce sounds divine

I've got some asparagus that needs to be done up. T'would be good with chicken fillets in sauce.

@Izzie,
Will do. Will see Diane again soon - her son has been here and very very helpful to her.

Glad to read about knee improvement, JPB.

Izz, I've just been reading a sports blog comparing Rafa to Borg, with lots of 'Is so, is not' type arguing. Now there's someone I liked a lot, still do - Borg.

@ehBeth,
oh yes Beth, I like Asparagus Shocked not as healthily as I ought to tho (frying pan, little bit of water, cover, steam for a few mins, butter and salt... mmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmm good!

Cooked veggies need to be semi raw (tho I'm not too keen on any cooked veggies really - raw's good, raw carrot, cabbage, onions, caullies and pretty much all salad fodder / rabbit food.

you're in an audit a? can you stay awake Wink Lotsa learning curves going on for the crew a? (((((Bethie))))))) Hope all is well with PaPa and HIM xxx

Osso - ah, can you link me the blog please? I'm a fan of Borg... and Edberg, Sampras too... and of course Ivanisevic. Federer's a tad special tho... gotta be something to do with my enjoyment of Toblerone too Wink He truly is precision, love to watch him interviewed. Glad you'll be seeing Diane soon - yep, pleased that her son is down - it must feel as tho she is in slow mo right now, yet, with loads to organise - it's a bit like a whirlwind. Been thinking of her and y'all down there actually. You take care too Osso.(((J)))x

TC - it is so good to see you - we miss you girl - how's it all going up there? all settled in? Oh, best go and check your thread and see if you've been there. Hope MrFixit is going well and you're keeping warm and fuzzy midst the chaos. How is the Sauna Wink So good to see you - come back when you can ((((((TC)))))))) xx
