@Izzie,
Hello hun. I know everyone is stunned and so sad about Bob. It is hard for me to believe after reading all of his posts even just recently that he has passed on. He had an inner strength that was evident to the very end. My heart goes out to Diane and my thoughts are with her and all of those who were so very close to him.

We are running around like chickens with our heads cut off. All Stars. So busy - and I'm so tired. The boys are out of school and so gripey about my working. I am not loving it either. But it has to be right now. I love my job...I just don't want to work. If that makes sense.

Hugs to you Dutchy. I hope you are recovering well. Thoughts are with you too.

((Izzie)) Love you girl. Take care of yourself. Thoughts and prayers as usual.

Good to hear all is well Tai Chi! Sounds like you all are getting tons done. I am excited for you.

Hello sweet Beth. Hope you and Set are doing well and the kids Wink. Sweet puppy dogs.

Thank you Wandel - we have the certificates and of course Obama has his name on them. The boys are tickled. My baby boy made A honor roll as well...I am blessed beyond belief.

Hugs and kisses to you all. Take care.

@mismi,
Hello miss Sunshine, thanks for the hugs, so sorry to hear you are so tired. I believe you have a long weekend coming up in the US so try to make the most of it and give that "old" body a rest. Smile

Ever so slowly recovering but doing well presently, Mrs. B is looking after me with TLC, for which I will have to pay later, Smile

Izzie you're in my thoughts. I admire you so much.

Waves to all the crew.

I could not come here and not say hi to my friends. I hope you are all doing well. I, too, am sad for the loss of dys. There feels like an ever-present empty hole today.

Dutchy, I don't know what your illness has been. I am sorry that I have missed all of that. It sounds like your lady is taking good care of you. Sweet hugs and well wishes for you.

Missy, I thought about you when your area was hit with the tornados. Such a crazy year for them. I hope you got through that unscathed. Speaking of storms, I think my car is totaled due to lovely hail. I am waiting to see what the insurance company is going to do once I hand in the estimate on Tuesday. I was driving along when I got caught up in a storm a few days ago. The wind was so strong and the rain was coming down so hard I could hardly see to drive, but I found a place to pull over. Then it started hailing. The hail just kept getting bigger and bigger. Inside the car, it sounded like a machine gun was blasting it. Then my windshield broke, and I don't mind saying that it scared me like a little girl. Made me cry. I am beyond being a baby when it comes to storms. It must have went on for at least 5 minutes. My car has big round dents in it everywhere...all over it, but mostly the hood, roof, all over the right side, and some on the left. My rear windshield is cracked, but it did not break through like the front. One hail ball filled the palm of my hand. I never seen anything like it. Nor do I wish to again. My dad used to tell me to count your rainbows, not your storms. Even though that is not the kind of storm he meant, it kept going through my head while I sat there. I imagined him placing that in that my head from heaven above. That would be like him.

Izz, I hope all is well with you and your boys. Your posted flowers are beautiful.

Take care, crew.
xo Love

Lately I've started seeing, things it takes a little faith to believe in
And it feels a little easier like you've got someone holding your hand
So hang a bouquet from your pocket and if it starts a conversation
you can talk about the way it seems we're starting to discover
we're all in this thing together after all

We can make it better, if we work together
Like a soul projector, we wanna see it this way
We wanna see it this way

I don't belong on this planet but for the moment this is where I am
so no point in wasting this vacation, I wanna see all I can.
And if some day I'm flying around it, I'd like to say I left it better
than it was the day I found it and I hope that when I'm home I'll recognise a couple faces I know

We can make it better, if we work together
Like a soul projector, I wanna see it this way
I wanna see it this way

Da da daa da da daa da da da da da da daa

We can make it better, if we work together
Like a soul projector, we wanna see it this way
We wanna see it this way

lallallalaaaaaaaa for friends

and yes, count your rainbow, fer sure

Just went for a bike ride around the hood with Mr B. The rain has stopped and the swales are flowing fast. Let's us pretend we live on the river but don't have nearly the heartache or headache of those who do.

@Izzie,
Gosh - whenever I read about you Tesco-ing I WISH i had that here. My friend lived in England for two years and when she told me there was a place you could order your groceries and they would deliver...I WAS GREEN WITH ENVY. I am writing my grocery list for Walmart and dread it with every fiber of my being. Because Walmart is heinous. HEINOUS I TELL YOU. Okay. I have had 3 cosmopolitans. What Rock likes to call as my "tippling" so...I tippled.

Excuuuuuse me. (that' my Steve Martin impression)

Okay...I should probably quit posting - because it can only embarrass me - more than likely anyway.

But I do love y'all. I do!

@mismi,
So, I come downstairs after not enough sleep, eyes that need steaks on them <achooing even in the rain> - potter around for a bit, put 't kettle on, power up the laptop and read you Missy - and end up chuckling my head off - love you so much MzMis - I can honestly say I can cyberly hear you saying "heinous I tell ya" and "Excuuuuuuuuuse me!"

Woman, I would love to be around your house with you having a tipple after some cuppas!

Yep - I love Tesco deliveries - I'm not big on supermarkets and am a complete whus (coward) as I always meet people I know there - doesn't matter how big the store is - there's always someone I know ... and not people who I want to meet unfortunately (tho in saying that I always seem to manage to fumble my way thru the questions and sometimes, like with old colleagues, it's kinda nice to see them if I can just keep my panic under control) - I prefer my solitude and hermit lifestyle and not have to look at anyone.

Then there's the food thang... all that food in one place - eeeeeeuw... (ha, Charlie LOVES to go shopping anywhere, but not me), but of course, other than those reasons - it's actually cheaper for me to pay for a delivery (£3.50 today in a 2 hour timeslot) than it would be for me to drive to a supermarket. I don't have to lift or carry stuff or push a trolley with wheels that go in multiple directions and there's never anywhere to sit down and have a rest - when I flag, I flag!

Whenever I do go to a supermarket - such a little thing for others but such a gobsmackingly big thing for me - I struggle physically and with the delivery, it get's brought right into the kitchen (delivery men are usually very nice and only had the one dog-do-doo incident which admittedly was a nightmare - but 'it happens). Usually when people see my hands, they immediately go to lift the heavy stuff for me (I buy bulk stuff, ya know, like big washing powders and blah) - it's not that I can't lift things - but it does make life so much easier for me and the delivery cost is worth it just for convenience.

So yep, very lucky in that respect.

It's always a bit like Christmas for me too, waiting for a delivery - I order late at night under the influence of my sleeping potion - yes yes, JPB does try and stop me doing that - then, when the delivery turns up... wow, it's quite the mystical time when I see what arrives. There's often a few "ooops" and often a "what the heck is that"... but all adds to the spice of life, especially if it's some rather exotic bath oil - what must I be thinking when I was ordering? Wink

Ha, and having now brought you into my incredibly mundane domestic bliss (ha!) - just how exciting was that - I shall go and put the kettle back on (sheesh - always having to order Earl Grey teabags - who knew! - but it's the one thing I will never run out of).

Gotta go and pick up the little fella from his PaPa's unless I can persuade his PaPa to bring him back - it's chucking it out down there - slow and steady today - but at least it's keeping the pollen down and boy, do we need the rain.

Bank Holiday Monday in the UK.

Wishing all our USers a great Memorial Day ... remembering...

now, where's our BEAgle... how ya doing Down Under D - hoping you're as well as can be expected and all is going tickety. xxxx

(((((Blue)))))) xox missing you madly. x

@Izzie,

Hello there Miss Izzie.
We've just come back from a couple of days in Nefyn, North Wales, and I'm here to tell you (I love that barabrith, btw) that the pebbles on the otherwise nice sandy beach there are a geologist's puzzle because no two seem to be alike, all different kinds of rock, and they are deposited there when high tides and storm waves wash down part of the soft cliffs and the pebbles, that must be part of a terminal moraine or something very similar, maybe coming originally from far, far afield and transported on ice sheet or glaciers, get deposited on the beach and sorted by the wave action I suppose- what am I, an expert?- and there they form a treasure trove for the naturalist with a camera, I thought of Izzie, natch, so much so that we collected quite a few and brought them home for our collection.

@Izzie,
Great minds think alike Izzie, I was asking myself what is that sheila doing on top of me........... Confused Like the tippling missi I now have to pull you into gear as well. Bosun doing well Izzie, the guardian angels have been able to balance me out and I feel great, even went for a short drive and walk in the sunshine today. Tomorrow will be seeing our I who is playing netball in town this week, so another exciting day coming up. Very cold tonight (down to 5 degrees) so sitting in front of a cosy fire watching the tennis from Paris. (((Izzie)))

Hi Mctag, great football match from Wembley over the weekend, did you watch it?

@McTag,
Oooooooooh POMcT - speckled tea-bread mmmmmmm. Those pebbles do sound a delight - of course, I'd have take a couple hundred pics and be ooohing and ahhhing <and breathe> whilst doing so. So glad you had a lovely break away Very Happy N.Wales is on our agenda this year - Charlie and I are still planning to climb Snowdonia ("S'no doh near" yet), a year on from her diagnosis and thankfully, after her full physical recovery, we shall go do our Julie Andrews impression with "The Hills Are Alive" lallalallaa. Hopefully with a little help from our friends too - and maybe raise some money for charity if we can. Gonna have to be a LOT fitter - but, we'll manage it somehow. Can't wait to see the beautiful landscapes there. I have a wide angle Sig10-20 so it's a photographic dream in that scenery. Literally - a take your breath away.

Have some pebbles pics from a beach in Cornwall that I shot a while back - will try and post them up. If you managed to take some photos - would dearly love to see them, if you can. ((((Taggers))))) x

BEAgle - man, you're out driving around - too cool. 'Aint nowt gonna stop the Thunder From Down Under. Good for you darlin'. So glad I is gonna be down - how lovely it will be to see her. She's done so well with her netball - clever and athletic young lady that she is. Know that you and MrsB will be there with pride brimming over - will do you both the power of good, methinks. x

Just found out that the little fella is over at Tulips - so he's prolly there tonight and then F-boy will come here for a couple nights - that makes a happy time for the kids - those boys are so close - it's just so good to see them together tho at times, they're like a couple of giggling girls! Their voices are breaking - so it can be rather amusing - teenagers... gosh, time goes too quickly.

@McTag,
And we also went to Pwllhelli where just by chance we heard from the lady who was serving us lunch in the excellent cafe by the recently restored St Mary's Well in Nethyn that there was a sea-and land food exhibition that afternoon in a big marquee by the marina next to Pwllheli Sailing Club and the harbour there, when we went in well there was a sign saying £3 per adult entry fee but the only people at the entrance seemed to be first-aiders so we sashayed on in and true enough once inside there were more food stalls than you could shake a stick at selling all manner of local produce and some mediterranean olives and preserved peppers, we got some for our tea and some barabrith to take home, and there was a Welsh Folksong Society or something at one end of the marquee singing all sorts of unusual songs in Welsh- and the announcements were in Welsh too, if anyone had forgotten where they were, so it was all double-dutch to me although I must say especially that the little girls who sang were very sweet and charming with particularly loud voices too which they needed because the high wind was making the marquee which had a metal frame make quite a lot of noise of its own, yes my hearing is a bit improved thank you, and the announcer who turned out to have a fine tenor voice when he decided it was his turn to sing sang various airs I did not recognise and the also original version of "All Through the Night" well known in countless recordings by male voice choirs, not all Welsh I suppose because it's a standard with an international dimension by now, you know the one I mean, and when we went outside again with me sniffing and fighting back the tears it was still windy.
