Hi Izzie, don't worry about the Bosun, look after number one first, glad to see you up and about. My problem is only temporary, yours is more prolonged and takes constant bravery! Quiet Sunday downunder with beautiful weather so I'm in the process of preparing a bbq for lunch. Have 2 nice rib eye fillets of 400 grams each, little roasted potatoes, a variety of salads and a mushroom sauce to go over the meat. A nice bottle of Barossa Red tops it off. Ofcourse Dutchy can't do without his dessert, so how does a bowl of New Zealand Hokey Pokey ice-cream and fruit salad sound? Bon appetit.

((Izzie)) The boys are all great and are dreaming of a HUGE snow day. 4-7 inches now in our forecast. We shall see. I made them pick up ALL the pine cones on our hill out front. Must make sure we can slide in case we do have a nice showing. It is exciting...though they are predicting many power outages. Which may be inconvenient. But - still - quite the adventure. I HATE to be cold though. Any one wanna' volunteer to keep the fires burning?

S-boy and F-boy are just taking Maddie for a walk whilst the weather is holding here - they were up very late last night but, as always, the pair of them are good as gold. Who knew two boys could talk as much as they do - they never stop chittering.

Have a lot of pain today, it's terribly frustrating - I so badly want to go out in the car (well, my car is broken in my driveway and can't be driven, wee man is coming to collect on Monday - but he has given me a car for the weekend (bless my little man at the village garage), just I can't drive at the moment). Hoping the pain pills will kick in enough so that I can just drive along the road as I desperately want to take a photo of something. We'll see. Surprising how, this fibromyalgia, that a few painful muscles (whatever) can be so entirely debilitating. It's exhausting at the moment. Nem'mind. Onwards and upwards. I just HAVE to go take some photos.

My Dad just called - Mom has fallen outside and smashed the back of head - is confused, bleeding, ambulance is en route to hospital with her... Dad's in a bit of a pickle - he doesn't do hospitals, well he doesn't do anything poorly, and the paramedics said he shoud stay at home as Keith will get to the hospital quickly, and that we shouldn't go in for a few hours - well, that doesn't seem right, does it... dammmit

my brother and SIL are in Plymouth now so are going to meet the ambulance at the hospital...

ok so i spoke to A&E and she hasn't been seen by the doc yet - so i think that must be a good thing coz if it was serious serious, then they would have seen her by now

spoke with my brother and he's on his way - so that's good too

My brother is with Mom and says she is fully cognisant and doesn't appear to have lost too many of her marbles , still hasn't seen a doctor because it's so busy down there. He's gonna stay there with Mom until they've seen someone, prolly going to have a scan or something but we're not sure yet.

I'm sure she will be alright and hopefully they will just let her come home when they've done what they need to do - and my brother is there so he'll be keeping everyone in their place! Bit of a nasty shock tho Dad sounds a little calmer - he's going to put his working trousers on - that's him keeping busy!

Gonna pick up my camera - that's me keeping busy!

Mom's been stuck back together again - brother is taking her home - she's gonna be a little sore and bruised and gonna have a bit of a headhurt for a while - but thankfully, nothing too major. PHEW PHEW! Ooof, what a worry.
