Morning all,
Woke up to snow, just been trying to clear the drive when it starts again, so gave up! Kids school is closed so I can not even try to go work. I was due to go to our Xmas meal tonight and drop Fboy over at Sboys place but think it a no goer! Fboy is now fedup as he was looking forward to seeing Sboy. Sgirl having a girlie sleepover at a friends house, they were going to Exeter for a chinese meal but think that is out but at least the sleepover will be on.
How's the cricket going? Have England won yet? Seems to be going on forever!
Nearly Christmas! Thought I'd got all presents until the kids said they needed some for friends so I raided some of the ones I got them, which means I gotta get a few more!
Hi annis. Love to hear all about the snow whilst I walk around in my shorts only. Would love to clear your driveway for you.
Cricket is going alright, 2nd day of the 3rd test has just finished, and we still have 3 days to go, followed by two more 5 day tests.
At the moment the Aussies have a slight advantage but anything can happen! Scores at stumps are: Australia First Innings 268, England First Innings 187.
Australia Second Innings 3/119, a lead of exactly 200 runs.
Please note McTag and Izzie your boys need to pull their socks up!!!
Please you are making jealous of the nice weather . I love the sun, I love snow when I'm in Finland ! Think I might have to venture out for some milk. I already fell over when taking the dogs out this morning! Nothing hurt only my pride!
Please note McTag and Izzie your boys need to pull their socks up!!!
They certainly do.
Glad the Aussies seem to have woken up.

I yabbered a bit with Mz Izz yesterday. Twas good to hear her voice, but I'm afraid her dinner may have been ruined by the time we were through. I'm guessing S-boy's special roast chicken looked like this

I want to know, when the Cap'n gets her sea legs again, whether it has at last snowed in Devon.
And turned that beautiful valley into a differently beautiful but inconvenient vale.
It'll be dashed inconvenient if she can't get out far to photograph it. Snowy ground, blue skies, marvellous.
I promise to stay off the roads of Dorset and Cornwall.

Hi all
I have had loads of snow but then am on the edge of Dartmoor! Have been shoveling this morning. Kids are out sledging! Just found my christmas tree lights have stopped working! so will try to walk to nearest garden centre to buy some more but first need to drink a coffee!
Walked the dogs in the snow and they were covered in ice balls as they are very close to the ground being small dogs.
McT - you'll be delighted to hear my little village had snow for the first time last night - I was ecstatic for a few minutes this morning... tried to walk a little up the road... ... ah well. No pics. Nem'mind. Had to deliver the little fella to my ex - no go... my windscreen wipers are broken on the front. Yep, all de-iced and de-leaved and de-snowed... and nada, tho it was trying.
Anyhoo - just wanted to let y'all know I'm OK. I'm sure everyone is well busy right now and getting ready.
A lot of our roads are blocked - we have had no deliveries from Amazon or any of the delivery companies, have even last our postal service in the last couple days with the ice and snow today ... ooops... S-boys Crimbo pressies - they're all stuck up country and doesn't look like they will be her for Christmas - they were ordered on 3rd Dec . Also Devon and Cornwall are having problems with obtaining any Crimbo trees... seems like the UK has grinded to halt...not a tree to be had in the town or two of the cities. But... there was A LOT of snow all over the UK today - we had about 4 inches and got off very lightly - few feet over some parts of the country.
I also wanted to say I'm missing Blue terribly... hope you are OK and someone can let us know all is tickety. I miss you darlin'. Take care and hope all is good and you're well and happy. xox x
I can't talk much and I'm very sorry, days are a struggle and I have tried to something to help myself with this which will be of little interest to anyone...but I'm really trying to make raods ahead, which is a bit scary - my camera has been in my hand 23 out of the 24 hours each day... nothing I can share or even explain - just... must not think. Trying to change my life - time to leave this one behind me for good.
I have to thank dear Margo and JPB who ... well, they know I'm a bit of a mess - their very long phone calls from them were very good for my wellbeing; I apologise to them both, I know they musta been hard phone calls for them to listen to - so thank you both verra much.
The phone has been ringing lately - if it's anyone from here, sorry, can't answer... and my email is down - need to ask a techie geek if they can help me as it is a real nuisance and I'm not able to reply or see emails coming in without it closing me out. No viruses or anything - its my OS.
Not sure how to get thru the next week... simply don't know how to do it, really, I don't.
K - gotta go again now... it's not good for me to talk here for more than one reason
Before I go - please don't think I haven't thought of you all each and every day, because I do... I truly do and I love y'all from the bottom of my heart.
Ice from last week - a little Celtish
a little PINK from Charlie's house and her bravery in celebration of TC's "C" celebration of good results - such good news TC. xx
Please say Happy Birthday to Didge for me - I missed his birthday on the 15th I think it was - sorry, couldn't get here but was thinking of him.
Will put another video on Edgar's Crimbo thread for the Spirit of Christmas.
OK... I need to go again - have a streaky face now <shakes head>. Will be back when I can, ya know.
Hopefully it will snow again tonight and we may get a white Christmas.
Morning Izzie, good to hear from you, sent e-mail but it would appear you have not received it. Hope things are slowly improving for you, will be thinking of you on the 23rd. Best wishes from downunder. Good night. (((Izzie)))

@Izzie,
Nice to see you up and about again Captain.I reckon all of us Brits are being affected by this second fall of snow in one way or another, especially the Post. But,I did receive your gifts a couple of days ago.My turn to say "You shouldn't have" but many thanks anyway. They will be opened on the their respective days.
I've got to venture out sometime today to get a few more items of food.Looks like I may have a house guest on Christmas Day after all.Paul, the brother I never had, reckons he won't be able to drive up to his parents in Stratford-Upon-Avon safely. His Dad is unwell. So,as he is a lousy cook,I've invited him over.On top of that, some scroats tried to break into his house while he was at work on Wednesday. They were unsuccessful, causing only minor damage to the front door and rear window. It has shaken him and is reluctant to leave the house unattended for any length of time so it may be that I will perform my culinary skills in his kitchen.Either way,we will be tucking into a traditional Christmas roast dinner with all the trimmings.
Keep chucking those logs on the fire and stay toasty.
Waves to Crew.
Laters.
