@Dutchy,
Hey hey

Can’t sleep, hurts too much Sad Painkillers they gave do work tho, ‘til they start wearing off Rolling Eyes

Thanks JPB – gosh, after all these surgeries, first time I’ve ever had this sort of problem – in 24 hours my whole foot has just blown up! Nasty frikken cellulitis. I have been effing and blinding a lot – the cats are just looking at me as if to say “you k, Mom”

Yesterday morning... all was looking pretty good

(made the pics small because they are pretty disgusting)

Started getting sore

In hospital today

Little earlier

Yuk - really really yuk

Cellulitis... who’s even heard of that!!!!!!! Shocked How nasty is that! Praying it will sort itself out quickly.

Nem’mind.

Tulip – ah, I heard Oke had snow and out towards Exeter too – due for some more soon – stay in and keep warm and I will call you if I think you can help... quite honestly, I wouldn’t call you or anyone out (other than the doc or a 999) at that time of night and with the ice – it’s even colder tonight – just keep your heating on, whack up the thermostat and put it on manual so it stays on overnight OK! Hope the kids are alright – S-boy is going to school in the morning for play rehearsals – the school is completely whited out there, he’s desperate for a snowball fight.

Taggers – hope all’s good up there. I smiled bigtime when I got home tonight. Thankeeee Very Happy Did you hear the news tonight about the chill setting in for a few weeks. The UK has been advised to “stay inside” and not risk going out in the freezing temps. Ha – can you imagine telling North America to stay inside... I don’t think sooooo! Mind you, I’m not going out in it – just going into A&E today I froze my bahookie off! You’re down to minus 7 tonight..... brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Bazza – soooooooooo know you had the best day - daughter, grandkids and great grandkiddie Very Happy YAY for your family.

Bethie – ooooh, I have one of those bed frames which I had completely forgotten about – it’s under the bed Shocked Will use tonight – tho at the moment I’m thinking of sleeping downstairs and not attempting to go up. Thank you so much for reminding me – seriously, did they remove my brain! Yellow boid – we sang that when we were kids too. Very Happy

Boida – thanku – all will be fine I’m sure – I know this can take a loooong time to clear up – but, I’m a lucky person so I reckon it will clear up verra verra quickly Razz

Rock – ha, Dr. Hook – S-boy loves Dr Hook. Hope all is good with you today.

Osso – oh, so wish I could have slept – I think I will have to tonight – didn’t get much last night and I’m exhausted.

Margo – gosh, what a turn of events... you must have had your psychic head on! Yep – you were quite right to worry and I’m glad I called the doc out last night – I think getting the antibiotics started yesterday is sure to have helped. Cricket’s looking good for the Down Unders Very Happy I missed the rugby today and was going to watch the highlights, but if it wasn’t a good game, won’t bother now.

Hey TC – you did have a busy day. I hope you get to rest up a little bit now and take a load off. Get Mr FixIt to fix you dinner!!!! Then and early night. Take care TC.

BEAgle – oh, believe me, hospital is not a good place for me to be in... outside of my comfort zone, on a ward with other people and I would feel very, very uncomfortable – especially when I’m in pain. I’m much better in my wee house and on my own. I don’t like hospital... no sireeee. As long as this doesn’t spread any more, I should be coco – fingers crossed a? How are you? All good in South Australia? Hope you are going strolling each day Very Happy

Missy – hope Dixieville is wonderful and you’ve had a great Thanksgiving weekend Very Happy

TSAR - it's nearly your birthday in UK time ... will be lalallalallaala happy birthdaying for you!

Sis, i love you – so sorry the girlfriends couldn’t come for the weekend – enjoy your peace tho, will prolly call you late morning tomorrow. Love love

(((Blue))) miss you xox

edit: hmmm... i do realise the seriousness of cellulitis, the docs were very informative and made me aware of what can happen, so I'm not taking it lightly at all - i know i have to be very careful right now and most of all, make sure I don't break the skin.
tard tard tard... hmmmmmm... how to get a drink... oooooooooof - such an effort - need to get that thermos sorted.

my job for today is done if I've reminded of something that might help a tiny bit

do stay ahead of that cellulitis. dlowan and set have both had nasty run-ins with it.

get in a comfy spot with your tea and a nice biscuit - get the tunes going - know that we're singing along and getting ready to howl with you (we're past the full moon but it's still big enough to howwwwwwwwwwwl)

@JPB,
Hmmmm... it's a tiny little bit red but I think mainly coz all my weight is going through that foot - I think it's OK... will find out in the morning I guess - that foot isn't hurting

I still can't get over the size, colour and disgustingness of my left foot, stabbing pains, pins and needles, pain beyond pain - there was not a thing wrong with it yesterday morning - the only problem I'd had was my arch but... that was getting better not wearing the boot.

You'd think I'd be asleep by now... yawn yawn... so need sleep.

The mouse hasn't appeared yet, he's prolly cowering in the corner and can hear my black boy purring beside me. Chocolate in the trap... maybe he'll get hungry overnight Razz Kitties will be locked out in the kitchen. I don't mind mice at all - would prefer he isn't running around the lounge, but that's preferable to being kitty dinner.

Hope all's k in Chi-town. Hug the girls for me. Love love xxxx

(may try to close my eyes - if I start counting sheep - I'll be bavk!!!!!! Wink )

You know what amazes me about our Izzie? In spite of her troubles, she always manages to do something for someone else. The oracle has once again created a birthday wish for our tsar.

May you always walk in sunshine, dear lady.

Afternoon Crew

Is it possible to sleep for over 12 hours! Why yes, yes it is. I awoke this morning, had a cuppa in bed after the phone rang, and fell back to sleep for another 6 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (couple phone calls but I fell back asleep straight after them). Good grief. My foot has obviously loved not being moved for hours on end and is much less angry, red and I think less swollen than yesterday. I don't screech in agony if it goes lower than my heart now Shocked So that's gotta be a good thing a?

My surgeon called me first thing and wants me to go to the hospital to see him tomorrow and told me I have to wear my boot inside on my right foot to be on the safe side.

So, I'm am going to try and not move, other than when I have to, and get the swelling down some more on the left.. but... IT'S MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER than it was yesterday... much better. Hopefully by tomorrow it will improve even more. Painkillers do work and obviously the antibiotics are doing the trick. YAYAYYAYAYAY

I wonder how long it takes to get back to normal Confused

Soon I hope, was planning on going back to work in a couple weeks.

Hope all are having a good day.

Am watching Ireland v Argentina rugby..... GO IRELAND!!!!!!!

Scores from the board cricket folk ???????

Some more cupcakes for our Tsar's Boithday - hope you having a lovely day ((S)) - Happy Happy to you...

Sleep is very, very good. I'm glad your foot is feeling/looking better.

Barry, what a great looking family. You are obviously having a wonderful time.

(Izzie, the Mr. bought pizza -- we were both ready for a calorie splurge.)

Oh, and Happy Birthday tsar! Hope you'll share this with all your A2K friends:

Jeez, those sheep are well rehearsed, Bethie - very impressed that they can jump together like that.

Glad you're doing better, Iz. Cellulitis can be a bloody pain - and recurring - just ask dlowan.

Barry - great family, great photo.

Like Dutchy, I went to sleep during the cricket.....last day - not much hope of a result - unless the Poms go down in a big heap this morning.

@margo,
Morning Izzie, glad you had some good sleep and feel better, hope the Dr. will sort you out properly on Monday.
I see its pretty cold up your way, hope you can cope with snow and icy roads, take care.
Heading for a nice mild day downunder. Cricket will fizzle out into a draw methinks. Sad
Cheers to the crew.
