@Izzie,
Hey Honey,

So sorry about the dark places. I hate that you are there by yourself right now. There is not a whole lot to say to make things better. Lord I wish I was closer...and Roberta is right - you have the right to feel the way you feel - and do keep letting us know how you are- whine and unload - goodness knows I do - just wish I could be there to help you get around...I have a feeling that you are up and about too much which is why that foot is giving you such trouble. Dammit - wish I could be there.

My wishes along with everyone elses - thoughts of healing and sunnier days soon sweet friend.

Love you much,
mis

@Stormwatch,
Hey Crew

Ohhhhhh... I just read ... and thanku

I did take a pic of my stupid pfffffffffffffffbt ankle last night but had to take the bandaging off because it was just so hot

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/P1040843.jpg

I know, it only looks like a small red pfffffffffffffffbt dot (that is where my $%£***&^% ankle bone is) – but was so incredibly painful yesterday. I couldn’t walk on it, let alone even put the boot on, but it has calmed down a little overnight and is less hot this morning. I’ll be seeing the doc in a few hours tho. I think it’s just my ankle joint, it’s a lot blacker today with the bruising starting to come out... HA – they didn’t even touch that part of my ankle, the injection was on the other side and the surgery was under 3 toes and top mid foot, nowhere near that joint. Ah well, I have got the boots back on now, it’s definitely the boot causing my left arch problem, I’m sure of it. Maybe he will put me back in black wedgy or foam shoes today... will see soon.

Yep, BEAgle, JPB - prolly some post op blues happening... but there’s a little more going on in my head (there’s a thing) and too much time to think – strangely, I’ve learned quite a lot about other people over the last week

If S-boy were not so happily settled in school, I would leave here immediately. I am constantly reminded of who is not and has never been there for me when needed. I’ve cut reality off here and those who I haven’t cut off yet, I am about to and I’m not quite sure how to stop myself from doing it.

Delete delete deleted

In other words, if I moved to Timbuktu and told no-one but still had the same phone number, no-one here would ever know I was gone Razz Now there’s a plan.

Scratch.

Hey JPB – hug M back from me – glad she is home now and she’ll be around for a little while. Have you got plans for Thanksgiving? How is your leg doing?????????? You still wearing the boot?

((Boida)) – ahhh, the mouse became Black Cats dinner.... I couldn’t get to him quick enough... stoopid stoopid mouse, there was a safe place to go and he ran into the Jaws Of Death. UGH! I couldn’t have moved the sideboard at the moment, but I can’t bear it when I know there’s a live one and I can’t rescue it. The cat was licking his lips – NASTY!

Ha – Butrflynet – THANKU – that did make me chuckle. I can’t remember which surgery that was but that’s definitely a hospital room - there’ve been so many I’ve lost track – but I may be sporting that look later on Razz Thanku girl – BIG SMILE Very Happy

Hey Mis – hey, no worries – I’m trying to reconcile thoughts, demons – Nov 22nd - always a tough day – I remember dates - annoyingly so; that’s OK when they’re good dates but I remember bad dates too – 4 years R’s been in care now – just wanna rip my heart out – but I no longer think I have one. Yep, I’ve maybe been pacing a little (not yesterday) but kept my feet high yesterday and my ankle has improved a bit now. It will pass and this time is easy compared to previous ones tho I feel more debilitated – but I feel more alone now then I have ever felt before – I am willing next year on – I think I am done with this year and I don’t want to be doing the next month – but ... ya gotta! Are you going home for Thanksgiving or MaMa and PaPa and hulk of a brother + family coming up to you this year? I know how big Thanksgiving is out there – you’re gonna have a fab time – can imagine your house being all decorated in autumn leaves and decorations. Used to love seeing all the decs in the US. x

Ooooooh... Margo and Osso... it isn’t as bad today and I am keeping it elevated – will be leaving in a couple hours. I think it’s just a cranky joint – but I hear ya re infection. It helped just pulling the bandages back off it... damn, it was hot. Thank you – will let you know what he says.

Stormy – hope your wee puppy is keeping you on your toes. Hope daughter is coming home for Thanksgiving and all is well with N-boy. X

Hoping AlexChap is well and happy and having lots of friends. x

((Blue)) xox

S-boy will be home tomorrow night and then going to his father's Friday morning. He's missing school for a day as he has his next doc appt, then back to school as he has a rugby match on Saturday pm. and staying at school on Saturday night as they have play rehearsals on Sunday morning. He has busy life that little fella! Very Happy

OK – gotta try and make myself look respectable to go to the hospital – ha, it may take a while! Razz

@Izzie,
Wowsah! That's RED!!!

Glad you're getting it checked. <throwing my vote in the infection hat>

No special plans here. Big meal, both girls home for the weekend, still hobbling around... I've decided to teach them the finer details of preparing the Thanksgiving feast. I'll supervise, they'll prep, cook, and clean. HA! We'll see how long that lasts before they rebel and I want it done My Way. Smile

Feel better, hun. I hope the doc can give you something to make you more comfortable.

@JPB,
Hey Crew

Yep JPB, surgeon helped out...

Took off all the bandages and blah, said I was healing brilliantly and that he was very pleased – had given me all dissolving stitches so... I can stop wearing the boot indoors as long as I’m careful. I have to keep my toots taped upwards, take very small steps and agree to being a penguin and remain completely flat footed for another 6 weeks... but whilst I’m indoors I can wear the foamy things (which of course, now I’m home I can only find one!) or my NHS shoes which of course are molded to my feet (blech) but I won’t be able to get them on just yet. Have to be real careful not to bend my foot at all but he’s real pleased Very Happy I have to wear the boots outside and wherever I go where there are people and need to use my crutches (he says mainly to ward people away from me)... but – that’s OK – I’m not planning on going amongst the crowds any time soon.

Still not allowed to drive for a few weeks, but perhaps I can make it back to work for the last week of term.

So. I feel a little better healthwise. I haven’t cried as much today, - I can't get straight tho. Put on a little makeup (that always helps) and tho my face still looks like a hamster, a little improvement on yesterday, just best not look in the mirror too much – I don’t like what I see looking back most times.

It was so good being able to clean my feet up a bit. My left foot is looking good – well, for me it is (I know, feet are disgusting – sorry, but they’re the only ones I’ve got)

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/P1040879.jpg

My right foot still looks horribly deformed and revolting with the swelling and he has no idea why the ankle’s gone the way it has – but it should right itself soon – and my second toe has sprung up a little, so that’s a little better news.

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/P1040890.jpg

So there we go. Happy Feet.

Margo – thanku for calling. I was at the hospital at the time – but it was so good to hear your voice on the answerphone. THANK YOU. Enjoy the ASHES... we’re gonna bring them home!!!!!!!!!!!! Wink

I had a little visitor to the kitchen today – Murphy brought in a boid!!!!! I found him behind the blinds with a bit of fraught black and white kitty mewing ....

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/whatever/DSC04589.jpg

It was flying.
http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/whatever/DSC04591.jpg

Murphy got locked out whilst I had to climb on the stool, then the kitchen worktop and catch the little thing in the corner of the room above the cabinets. He was gorgeous. Only held him for a couple mins whilst he calmed down a bit and then... off he flew...

Click the pic... it’s only 10 seconds... and away he goes into TC's red berry tree...

Gorgeous he was, his wee head was sprinkled with gold dust. That made me feel better too.

Now the really really good news – it’s gonna snow... they say the South West will get snow across Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor. Scotland and the North are already white.... I mean WHITE WHITE. We are down into the minus figures here (unusual for us this time of year) and there should be a hard frost tonight – it is way below freezing... may have to get up early and see if there’s a winter wonderland out there)... but over the weekend, we should get some snow on the moors. I need to work out a way of getting up there if it’s white. Hmmmmmmmm... We’re down to minuses for the next week, so says the Met Office.

OK... I know it’s shortly going to be Thanksgiving Stateside and y’all are gonna be really busy, so I’m wishing you all a wonderful day with your friends and family and hope you have the very best of days and weekends.

Happy Thanksgiving USA!

@ossobuco,
Gotta disagree with osso. Sorry, kid.

Iz, your feet look Frankensteinian to me. But hey, the guy was a star. I think they look the way tooties are supposed to look that have been cut and sewn. In a woid, yuck.

However, you're healing well. Outstanding. And you don't have to wear the robot boots all the time. Also outstanding.

Da boid was positively gorgeous. No argument there. Glad you caught the little guy and got to release him safely.

Snow!? I love snow. Remembering how I built a gigantic (over seven feet tall) tyranosaurus rex out of snow with Sheila's husband. Enjoy the white stuff. I know it's rare in your area.

To sum up, ooky feet, beautiful boid, wonderful snow. Not a bad message.

Take good care of you. And thanks for the Thanksgiving good wishes. Love Thanksgiving. It's my favorite holiday.

Ha, bless ya both... really chuckling here....yep, they are a little positively bionically frankensteinish - fugly I think the word is Wink - but hey, if they work which I'm hoping they will, well, there 'aint many folk in the world who will ever have to see them - they are certainly unique and they will dance again one of these days Razz

Thank you both... smiling here - you made me chuckle out loud. xx

@Izzie,
Fugly is right!

Holy hell. You've got some mighty loverly color patterns going on to balance out those stichery patterns.

Never mind how they look, so long as the pain is going down. Glad the doc is pleased and you've gotten the go-ahead to be mobile sans boots around the house at least. One thing at a time and don't overdo it. YES, I was yelling at you for climbing up on stools and across kitchen counters. Probably just as well you can't hear me from there Wink

Pretty birdy, though. He's glad you rescued him, I'm sure. But No More Crawling Along The Countertops, k?!?!?!?!

kk - M just got back from buying the stuff I forgot to buy at the store. Off to make pies, but will check back later.

So glad you aren't dealing with a setback.

Climbing on the kitchen cupboards? Izzie, please tell me you weren't tap dancing. (Sometimes I just can't help myself...) You are amazing and also incorrigible. And you have very colourful feet. I'm happy the doctor's happy. (Perhaps he shouldn't be told about your bird rescue adventure though.)

@Izzie,
Izzy, did your doctor have any speculation on what was causing your foot to feel like it was on fire? Was it just some temporary nerve pain?

Hi Izzie, thanks for calling in, wow brave lady you've gone through a lot, those feet look pretty nasty. Can't see us do the tango for a while. Snow on the Moors would be a wonderful sight, no doubt you'll try to catch it on your camera and share it with us. Off to take Mrs. B shopping. Laters.
