nighty night...lovin' y'all.... GREAT DAY FOR RUNNERS and their families and friends... huge achievements.
Hi Izzie, amazingly the New York Marathon was shown on local TV today, as a group of local sportsman participated in it and raised $40.000 for the cause. Thank you for mentioning it, had to watch it with one eye, as I received another injection into my eye this morning. Looked like Pirate Pete with my eye patch.
Family affair yesterday went off very well, they all swam in the heated pool and enjoyed the spa whilst I got busy on the bbq, trying to satisfy everybody with a steak grilled to everybody's wishes testing my culinary skills. Best of luck at the Hospital today Izzie, no doubt they will find that you're from Royal blood!
Big rain today in the UK so grabbing my brolly and running <ahem> out the door to go and get my blood tests.
Still very excited about yesterday - think the guys and gals will be feeling their leg muscles today - wow - they just did so brilliantly. I believe Caralyn is flying back to the UK today/early tomorrow - so will be speaking to her then.
kk... gotta fly
ha - blue blood - that'll me then - Queen Iztherenuffleftforanothervial
They were all just amazing! and a HUGE inspiration!
which leads on to what they're inspiring us to do in 2011...
It's Official - we are now to be known as the PINK PANDORAS for our Snowdonia Challenge. Ha, we've been laughing a lot - we'll be PINK accessorising for the climb (don't need no maps ), with a little singalong as the Von-Shut-Yer-Trapp family - and making it a MASSIVE personal achievement... managed to recruit some good folk already so, we're ON!
now, just gotta get thru the surgery and walking again - and we'll be good to go next August! YAYYAYYAYYAYAYAYAY
Charlie is going to No14 zap in a couple hours - she's tired right now - so everyone, please THINK PINK and posivibe for her - she's nearly there.... just a few more zaps and then it's time recover - onwards and upwards.... onwards and upwards
((((((((((((((((Babbling))))))))))))))))))) thinking of you Brooklyn - you're in our hearts and thoughts. Love you Babbling. xxxxxxxxxx

Evening Crew
Murphy brought in a dinner guest... fortunately this moooouse aboot the hoooouse was carried rather delicately (Murphy's kinda gentle with them) and Morris Mouse was easily rescued from the welly boot!
Love this little fella
He's now running around outside in the hedgerow - bless him!
Good job it wasn't the jaws of death who brought him in... look, he's smiling in his sleep!
Been a lovely day, just quiet on my laptop and talking to a bunch of people online FB - spoken to more folk today than I have in the last 6 months I reckon people I didn't know before (friends of Charlies and friends of others), so that's kinda nice methinks - and have laughed pretty much all day. FAB!
Think I'm still really excited from the marathon, the runners and their achievements. It's great.
Charlie has 6 more zaps to go... then... DONE!
Looking forward to that day for her.

Lovin' y'all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I know the climb is in August, McTag, but won't it be cold at the top? You might be blue!
Work hours picking up for Christmas so I might not be around all that much. Just popped in to say "hi" to the crew and to wish Charlie continued strength. Oh, and to give Verby's little guy a virtual hug (what a cutie!)
How's the eye Dutchy? Are you still doing your pirate impersonation? (The treatment made me wince.)
Yep TC (good to see you girl), POMcT may end up a little poiple!!!! It will be chilly up there, fer sure. It's also one of the wettest places in the UK, despite Margo not having visited there No worries tho - we're gonna do it no matter what - hopefully on the day we choose, give or take a day or two, weather dependent. You do actually have to register with the rescue folk before setting off, coz it can be a pretty gruelling walk / climb; course, we're hoping to have a crowd of us - and wouldn't go if the weather was crahp - bit like Dartmoor - too dangerous.
I remember doing the climb when I was around 6-7 yrs old... I had on a pair of shorts and wee chicken legs ... of course, I wouldn't be told by my folks to put on a pair of trousers (it was warm at the bottom of the mountain) ... I'll see if I can grab the pic from my parents and post it at some stage. F F F F Flippin freezing!
McT - would be good if you decided to join us... we have a girlie group.... and a boy group - though no doubt we'll all end going together! You may have seen the convo on facebook - there's some guys who are going to be wearing pink frocks.... course, they will be "on a mission"... Kbro and compadres are up for anything to support Charlie.
I'm debating with myself at the moment whether or not to try and raise money for the N.A.S or maybe Arthritis Care... last time I did a charity sponsorship I jumped out of a plane - hmmmmm - maybe I'll stick to Breast Cancer... dunno, got a pile of stuff going on in my head right now - can't decide what to do today, leave alone next August!
too many thoughts, not enough time
Anyhooooooooooooooooooooo - you would not believe what happened today! <well, ha, there's a thing>
I came face to face with a STOAT!!!!!!!!!!!! My black cat had caught it Fortunately for the stoat, in the gales last night, one of the garden chairs had tipped over backwards - said stoat managed to get free from the jaws of death and got under it... so my black kitty was sitting just dapping. Now, I would never have known that BUT.... this stoat was chittering so loud... a really LOUD squeaky distressed type chitter and for the life of me I couldn't work out what it was!
So.... I've met a few weasels in my time...
and it might have been a weasel... but I think it was a stoat... it was tiny.... prolly about 8 inches - it ran verra fast after I had locked the kitty in the house and lifted the chair up, I couldn't see it's belly... it could have been a bubba one - was verra small
anyway, you wouldnee think that such a little critter could make such a loud noise!!!!!!!
ok... so I gotta do the joke:
Q. What's the difference between a stoat and weasel?
A. A Weasel is weasily wecognised and a stoat is stoataly different
there, that's logic for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(here's a video - not mine of course - but shows two larger stoats overlooked by Missy The Kitty - cute little critters they are
got to get an early night in, ya know, work and all
Morning Izzie and Tai Chi, the Pirate here, still wearing my patch but will take it off sometime today, eye needs drops every 2 hours. Told the eye specialist no more 'bloody' needles to traumatic!
My thoughts are with FlavourQueen having to undergo all those radiography sessions, not long to go now, must be wearing you down. Vibes still coming your way. (((F/Q)))
Izzie, what are you planning now, climbing some mountain? Will be with you in spirit girlie, if anybody can do it, you can!
Bosun will have a busy weekend, son and family arriving Thursday night, main mission to bring me heaps of seafood.
ooooooooooooooooooof... not slept at all last night... watched each hour go by, weird, very uneasy feeling - struggling to move this morning - feel like someone suckered punched my cheek and my ankle's kaput! Nasty. Dropped S-boy to the school bus and now off to work - gonna be sleeping when I finish up methinks.
<pass the cheese, early whine!>
HA - POMcT - loved that!
BEAgle - take is easy pal - will see ya later xxxx
Hello Izzie, no sleep that's weird, drive carefully so you won't fall asleep behind the wheel. Have a cheese and wine ready for you when you finish work and then off to bed and rest them ankles and soul. Bosun had a productive day, washed and cleaned my car then it started to rain, story of my life.
English Cricket team has arrived in town and will play the local boys in a 3 day game starting tomorrow, they're full of confidence and think they can beat the Aussies for the Ashes this year.
FQ has 3 more "broadcasts" to go.The last radio therapy is on Tuesday.Got this info from FaceBook. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBVBg0If46U
