gosh, what a long afternoon...
the operation was successful and the surgeon has removed the nasty bad lump. IT HAS GONE GONE GONE... <been sent off to a lab>
the BLUE showed a trace and following guidelines a node was removed and will be sent off too...
she will get the results next Friday and then a plan of action for what treatment will be required. We won't know anything for a week - but right now - she has kicked the lump into touch!!!!!!!!
THE SURGEON IS VERY HAPPY with the procedure.
I spoke to Charlie - ha, she's in a very "happy" place... ya know, bit like me on my zzzzzzzzing meds... lallalalllllllllllllllla land - but she sounded wonderful - she spoke to the girls and lots of i love youze... and she has a had a cuppa tea
She's not been 'ick at all and not on IV meds, just painkillers. The surgeon won't see her again until tomorrow afternoon now and, dependent on her drain - she may need to stay in hospital for another night - hopefully not, hoping to be home late tomorrow evening.
