You above quote( cut and paste) is a nice peace to ponder over Mysteryman.
Thanks.
Is politics just the entertainment branch of industry?
Outstanding.
Thanks for the posting.
It was outstanding...until it singled out the democrats (starting with the line about Speaker Pelosi) with some mudslinging.
As long as we blame Congress, the president and the courts for all our problems, then the real culprits will get away free.
250,000,000 citizens who would rather watch TV than learn about issues and get off the couch and work to elect a neighbor who will govern in accordance with their wishes.
That's who is to blame.
The 250,000,000.

That's right. We get the government we deserve.

Are you talking about this part...
Quote:Who is the speaker of the House? She is the leader

You call it mudslinging, but it is the truth.
The dems CAN override a presidential veto, they are the majority in congress.

Do not forget it takes a 2/3 majority in both house and senate to override a presidential veto.
Gustav
"They and they alone have the power."
I respectfully disagree with your above statement.
Think of those events.
Gandhi in India had moblized the whole country against the mighty British Raja
Nelson Mandela in South africa.
Imelda Marcos was chased away from her country and with the help of USA landed in Havai.(" People's Power")
Powerful kingdoms and mighty powers were thrown out of vicinity with the power of the people and not by the consume-oriented couch potatoes.
