Well, you saw quite a bit!

I hope, you didn't miss one of the best new buildings in Berlin

... which is unique not only, because Berlin is the only capital with three embassadies in one (more or less one) building: the Scandinavian Embassadies.

The Swedish embassady's architect is Gert Winghårdh.

Finland's http://www.stadtentwicklung.berlin.de/bauen/botschaften/pix/finnland1_388.jpg
was created by Rauno Lehtinen, Pekka Mäki and Toni Peltola.

Nielsen, Nielsen + Nielsen were the architects of the Danish embassady

and finally - all situated at Rauchstrasse 1 - Norway's architect are from the office Snöhetta http://www.stadtentwicklung.berlin.de/bauen/botschaften/pix/norwegen_glasfront.jpg

Well if you passed Vaxjö you could have. I have been relaxing this summer and traveled to Berlin in the end of July.

mrs. h and i will be leaving for berlin and destinations further on 22 sept. however , i'm getting a little nervous. a/t todays paper BOARS are starting to invade berlin. apparently they have been sighted on the alexanderplatz and are within one km of the KURFUERSTENDAMM ! yikes, that's where our hotel is. it stated that hunters had been issued permits to hunt down these 150 kg beasts. maybe i better get a hunting-license before leaving canada. instead of listening to the berlin philharmonic, perhaps we'll be listening to the HUNTING-HORN and WAIDMANNS-HEIL; wish us luck. hbg
