Pretty damned nice morning here in Adelaide, too - only I meant to sleep in a bit....
Had a drunken Port Adelaide fella blithering on in me ear half the night about football and classic art....

The sun hasn't come up yet, but I'm gonna hit the pillow anyway. Nighty night all.

Whoa! Just about to go for a walk in the mild evening - when there was a crack of thunder overhead that actually frightened me with its loudness, and now there is torrential convectional rainfall! Not a dull minute here...

Hmmmmmm - felt storm-comingy here to me - I get antsy and odd and uncomfortable on such days.... (silence those of you saying "how could we tell the difference?" !)

Deb
You sort of feel twitchy in your bones?

Hmmmmmm - no - I feel a bit sneezy and wheezy - but there just seems to be a malaise in the air - and a WRONGNESS about the light - and I feel tense and agitated.
Must be the positive ions, or something.
Horses are the same in the same weather - plus their tails stick out because of the ionization. Perhaps my vestigial tail acts as an antenna?

I think I know exactly what you're describing, dlowan .... a sort of heightened sensitivity to what's about to happen. Almost apprehension.
Anyway, my dear, I strongly recommend a glass of wine for this tetchty feeling! I have one here right now!

psssssssst, dlowan,
A secret: Many years ago I was a demented, hysterical, inflamed, one-eyed Collingwood supporter! I have since become far more civilized & sensible!

Same here, D.
I regress when it comes to the "mighdie maggies" in the grand final. When they won their first final in zonks, quite a few years ago, I actually CRIED with joy! Good grief!

Well, these sporty types say there is much richness of emotion and sublimation and such to be gained in their religion!
