@msolga,
Good Evening msolga, been cold here all day despite the sun being out. Must have been that ash cloud from that volcano. LOL Have a nice fire going so I'm coping.

@Dutchy,
Yes, definitely a brrrrr evening here, too, Dutchy.

I'm giving the ducted heating a blast to warm up my little house for the evening.
Even though my cat has bolted outside, because she thinks it's a devil sound, or something .... Confused

I'll turn if off soon so she can come back inside.
Can't have a cold cat, can we? Wink

@msolga,
We most certainly cannot have a cold cat.

Do you have thermals, Olga?

@dlowan,
True, she does. Smile
I've never owned a pair of long johns.
Perhaps this winter might be the time to invest in some?
Sounds like it's going to be considerably colder than what we've been used to, the past few years.

Are you long john person, Deb?

@msolga,
Good morning msolga, I can recommend thermals, wear them all the time in winter!

@Dutchy,
Good morning (almost midday) to you, Dutchy.
After your recommendation I plan to check out the availability of thermals for short women.
Nothing worse than cold kneecaps! Smile

I rarely get cold, unless I am not exercising at all. I bought some for Scotland but never needed them. I am also devilishly sensitive to fabrics (think princess and pea) and I would need to be very cold to bear the roughness.

However, I think they are a dman fine idea and I will likely break them out after get my next electricity bill.

My living room has huge north facing windows and really warms up during the day, so I generally come home to a warmish place.

The woollies are a worry too....apparently they get cold easily.

@dlowan,
Yes, I'd see them more as gadding about the house items, for extra chilly nights/early mornings.
I'd imagine a pair of long johns worn under a pair of jeans, say, wouldn't be necessary if I was busily running around.

I was wondering about the woollies feeling the cold. Would they get woollier in winter for extra warmth?

(just an aside: That tuxedo cat you see on front of the video I posted last night is the absolute spitting image of my cat, Poppy. Exact same build, markings, everything ... it's her! Smile )

Great! I have been wanting to see a picture of Poppy. I love tuxedo cats.

I don't know about the woollies and if they get woollier. They don't seem to be complaining about cold.
