I knew someone would say that. I didn't expect it to be you.
bush is president becuase he got more electoral votes. He got less popular votes. Everyone knows that. the primary is a popular vote thing. Apples and oranges.
Come on Bear... it was both funny and appropriate.
This thread, which offers simplistic explanation and callsl it the "final word"-- with the implication that any analysis of the mechanics or demographics behind her win, is silly at best.
Hillary is the establishment candidate-- and has been for a long time. She had a machine in place, she had a good ground operation and a GOTV effort.
Exit polls indicate that she did very well among women and registered Democrats. Both of these groups are interesting parts of what may turn into to a close Clinton v. Obama race.
Hillary won New Hampshire... and good for her. A lot of work by her and her organization made this possible-- combined with a message that clearly resonated with a lot of New Hamshirites.
But I am rooting for Obama and I hope Obama pays attention to who is voting for Hillary and why so that he can run a better campaign in the upcoming states.
I have said that I will support Hillary if she gets the nod, but there is a long hard contest until then.
May the best man win.
