You know those drawers under the oven, mine is overfilled and stuck shut. How do I fix it? I tried to push the top piece of clutter down with a chop stick while I was trying to pull the drawer free - didn't work. I rattled the drawer trying to shift the contents around - didn't work. Is there a way to remove the facade of the drawer - the piece you pull on? I felt some screws along the bottom of it, how do I get to them? Any tips?
Pull the oven out from the wall and take the excess stuff out from the back. Send me some fresh baked cookies.
Or perhaps a short screw driver... I have a couple, but I'm a little far away.
... and a mirror... and a flashlight.
Hee! This is a familiar problem... sorry, no advice other than pull reeeal hard...
I want my ******* cookies.
Chumly, wouldn't that be a bit dangerous - like mightn't I pull out the gas hook-up?
Sigh.
I need a hinged screw driver. The clearance is about a 1/2 inch.
<stoopid design, goddam oven people, must be designed by people who have never used the friggin drawer thingie or even cook for that matter. ****.>
i take it punching a big hole in the floor is not an option?

You did not say you had gas.

There should be a bit of leaway with the hookup. After all, it had to be out to do the hookup and then put back in. It would be best to either move it out with a spotter checking behind, or pull out a wee bit at a time and check as you go.
You may also try shaking the drawer or picking up the front of the stove a bit to try to loosen whatever is causing the blockage.
I suppose It'll have to wait til later........
Littlek has gas and Intrepid is right. Two rather unusual sets of circumstances.

Littlek having gas may be a different solution than her gas stove
And it surely is NOT unusual!
My drawer sticks quite a bit. But, I am usually able to pull it out just enough to move whatever is causing the blockage. Sometimes leaving it for a bit and coming back makes all the difference.

You may have to change your entire mode of thinking for 2008! Happy New Year Chumly.
can you unscrew the bottom plate of the oven? check that.
