Inner City Angels.
Izzie thanks for your angel. Could you tell me more about the significance of "Inner City Angel?"
Hi Sglass
It was just the name I put to this graffiti (art) - we were driving through a very down trodden area of inner city London towards the bright and sparkly financial district - everything was rather grey and sad looking - almost defeated looking - then as we came up to a set of traffic lights I saw this "angel" - and I thought it was rather beautiful. To me it looks like there is a story behind it - the angel appears to be holding a skull, with a backward-turned baseball cap on, and the young angel looks like s/he's wearing a bullet-proof vest. I may be completely wrong, but that's how I see it. The "angel" appears to have received his/her real angel wings at far too earlier an age.
Painted in black and white, onto a red brick wall. I found this graffiti very artistic - tho if it's telling a story - I imagine it is a sad story. I think it's quite an emotional piece of work by whoever was responsible for painting it. Just my interpretation of course.
