Jeremiah, how often have you driven outside of L.A.?
As someone who has lived there and elsewhere I can attest that L.A. drivers are a special brand of insanity (regardless of gender). God they're bad.
Sounds to me like someone needs to just quit driving.
pent up pissed off speeding drivers cause 70% of wrecks on the road.
Most of them are under the age of 40
Dumb ass young american male drivers.
Even just standing around a supermarket with a shopping cart,
women r always obstructing pedestrian traffic.
Thay don 't need the cart to obstruct; thay do it in all public places, where thay choose to stand and turn their backs;
completely oblivious to stopping the free flow of pedestrian traffic,
whereas, in contrast, male adults for the most part r alert to courtesy in this regard.
If a guy is about to leave a parking space, and u r waiting to take it,
u can c that he is quick to vacate, conscious of being courteous,
whereas women linger there forever, with no thought of courtesy; alien concept.
I attribute it to a sexual distortion of time and space.
I remember many painful times of waiting for a girlfriend
to come down from her apt, to go for dinner,
while I am illegally parked by a fire hydrant, or in front of a driveway,
repeatedly calling her every 15 or 20 minutes and being told that she 'll be right down,
while she continues brushing her hair, or applying more cosmetics,
possibly changing clothes a few times, while I am sweating out the police
downstairs because there is nowhere legal to park.
Its not just one chic; its genetic.
I 'm sure its in the DNA.
David
Thank you, David, for explaining this in such a good and scientific way that even a woman - or should I say chick? - can understand it.
Oh, wait a second, I'm not American. So maybe that does not apply to me? I will think about that if my female mind allows me to.

Don't forget his attitude towards older drivers!
I just don't like aggressive drivers. Period.
I wonder if this thread would have started if 2 boys from Jerimiah's sisters school had gotten drunk and killed a motorcylist.
They are 15. They didn't screw up their lives. Nothing will happen to them.

Except that they will know for the rest of their lives that they killed someone.....you know, just that little thing.
Oy, this seems to be the thread of the blissful ignorant males coming
together and lamenting the superiority of women.
Carry on guys!
ah, so you're going to fix that sort of thing by painting *the other half* of the population with the same brush?
at least read the thread that you're using as evidence, before you do that.
This thread started, IMO, as an offence to women and Asians. I, as a male, even find this thread offensive.
The driver and passenger were ini the wrong....period.
i find it offensive too.
that doesn't mean that jane's reply, attacking what appeared to be every male in the thread was reasonable.
You're so full of it, tinygiraffe. If you don't see the laughing emoticon
and if you don't have any humor at all, you shouldn't write in threads
like these. I believe, this isn't the first time you have done so either.
Lighten up, for crizz sake!

CJ was not attacking anybody. You would know that if you have read any of her posts. She IS opinionated, as are you, but that is no reason to jump on her.
You should check out the emoticons that are used in some posts before jumping to conclusions.
i have to ask in all seriousness, wtf does "underage" driving have to do with drinking?
all this "age" talk is really gettin me thinking about nanny states and how children are infantilised or whatever, maybe if these girls could drive legally they would feel a sense of responsibility for their actions and a need to live up to those responsibilities instead of having to get wasted to go out and drive.
Oh for the love of Pete.
Is jerimiah even worth the time it takes to tell him he's an idiot?
And who the hell is Pete, anyway?
