Ok at work every one does the same job.
All of the people there get paid $11.50 except 3. Tell me how the 3 who do the most work and are at work everday only get paid $9.00??
But I've learned life isn't always fair. And you can't complain when you got bills to pay!!
Some countries have a law against that kind of thing. Don't you have Trade (or "Labor") Unions where you are?
If that is the USA that those dollars are from, and if those are hourly rates, I have to say Wow! And they say the US is rich??? because in the UK where I live the legal minimum wage fixed by law is as follows. Exchange rate today is £1 = $2.10
£5.52 ($11.59) per hour for workers aged 22 years and older
A development rate of £4.60 ($9.66) per hour for workers aged 18-21 inclusive
£3.40 ($7.14) per hour for all workers under the age of 18, who are no longer of compulsory school age.
I thought we did have a law.
I dont want to jepordise my job by running my mouth about it.
Im one of the people who is getting paid $9.00 an hour.
I was getting paid $11.50.
Did you ask the reason why you got a drop in pay?
No. I dont know why I didn't. I'm 17 and I need the job so I'm not being picky. I cant stand on my feet for very long. I work at an insurance company. I don't know. I feel like since I'm only 17 I should keep my mouth shut.

There is no rule saying everyone has to be paid the same wage for the same job. The others might have more experience or just negotiated a better payrate.
If you were bumped down in pay, you really should know why.
I was there longer than most of them.
It's what ever though as long as I have enough money to pay
for what I have to pay for.
Thanks Guys!!
A lot of things can come into play in regard to pay. How much experience do the other people have versus the 3 who are paid less? Experience is a big factor. If these individuals came from another job, they have had to offer more money to hire them. And experience can be from a prior job, not necessarily from the company.
And like you said, life is not fair - if it bothers you that much ask your boss. If you ask in the right way, your boss shouldn't get angry. Just be polite and respectful when you speak to her or him. And talk with them in private about it - not in front of others.
Actually, at age 17 you are getting $1.86 an hour more than the legal minimum wage for that age in Britain. Still, it's not much.

first, sorry we got off to the wrong foot on the other thread.
some questions...
are you full time or part time...do you get benefits, or are you eligible for them? did you used to be full time, then go to part time?
Are the one's paid more full time, or part time.
Also, when you wage was cut, what was the reason given?
You say 3 of you are making the lesser wage...how many are making the $11.50?
Southside Chick--
Ask why your pay has been reduced. After all, you could be the victim of a clerical error.
7 get paid $11.50
3 get paid $9.00
I understand me getting paid $9.00 cause I'm part time but the other 2 are full time.
But here it's not about the experience.
I think we cross-posted so I'm going to repeat my suggestion.
Ask.
You could be the victim of a bookkeeping error and be eligible for back wages.
