The public wants the war to be over. Bush is responsible.
There doesn't seem to be much strength of feeling. I guess, without a draft, and the cost going on the cuff, the public doesn't feel affected (so the partying goes on).
There is certainly little in the way of anti-war demonstrations.
Without a draft, plus the relative low numbers of American dead, the public is like a zombie. They await the next stimulous that will drive electric impulses to the brain.
It is a slow-drip thing, with the public too dense to see what is happening.
I saw a recent poll showing that the public knows virtually nothing about the various candidates for their party's nomination. Sad!
