9/11 plan documents found in Philippines in 1996

I have watched two programs on CNN over the last month that other main stream media have not picked up. The first was a news report on CNN about documents found in 1996 delineating al Qaeda's plans to fly hijacked planes into US skyscrapers and other buildings. I waited to see if other media reported the same information. Nothing appeared anywhere. Last Saturday at 4 am, an hour documentary hosted by Aaron Brown was repeated: The Seeds of Terror. It laid out the terrorist network in malaysia and other Pacific areas. It included the information that documents for planning the 9/11 attack were found in 1996.

I searched CNN's web site looking for information about the hour-long Brown broadcast, but the site has no record of it. I finally found a connection by using Aaron Brown instead of CNN and found a site about the documentary. But when I clicked on it, the site was no longer available.

Not being one to give up easily, I then tried looking for the documentary via MARIA RESSA, "Seeds of Terror'. This link worked and I found a partial transcript of the first news story broadcast in the last week in June. I didn't find anything about the hour-long documentary broadcast in August.

Transcript of the first CNN news story:

Aired June 13, 2003 - 14:15 ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

HEIDI COLLINS, CNN ANCHOR: A man on trial for treason in Indonesia is accused of being the spiritual leader of a terrorist group, and that group is believed to have connections with al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden's terror network.

Maria Ressa is our bureau chief in Jakarta.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

MARIA RESSA, CNN JAKARTA BUREAU CHIEF (voice-over): October 12, 2002, the worst terrorist attack since September 11, three bombs, the largest planted outside the Sari Club in Bali. The explosions designed, investigators say, to funnel people closer to the last and deadliest blast, so fierce it ruptured the internal organs of many in the club. More than 200 people died, hundreds more injured.

Indonesian officials say the attack was the work of Jamaah Islamiyah, al Qaeda's network in Southeast Asia. The man who controls that network, officials across the region say, is Indonesian cleric, Abu Bakar Ba'Asyir, dubbed "the Asian Osama bin Laden."

ABU BAKAR BA'ASYIR, TREASON DEFENDANT (through translator): The one truth is Islam, the one thing that can save us is Islam, but we must commit to it. That is what I teach. If Islamic law is disturbed, there is no compromise.

RESSA: In some circles in Indonesia, Ba'Asyir is a revered figure. He befriended well-connected politicians like Indonesia's vice president, even though officials in Singapore and Malaysia linked him to terrorism and issued warrants for his arrest.

BA'ASYIR (through translator): If Islam is attacked, there are only two responses. We are victorious or we die. That is what it means to rise up and defend Islam. That is what the infidels and Jews call violence, but if you're going to defend Islam, you either win or you die. You can't sit on the sidelines.

RESSA: Officials across Southeast Asia name Abu Bakar Ba'Asyir as the head of al Qaeda's network in the region, Jamaah Islamiyah, an organization he claims does not even exist.

Days after the Bali attack, Ba'Asyir was arrested and eventually charged with treason. Just before going to jail, he gave an interview to CNN. He denies any links to terrorism and emphasizes the message many Indonesians have come to believe.

BA'ASYRI (through translator): All of the violence in Indonesia has been engineered by America and Israel. Israel is Islam's strongest enemy, most radical. America is being used by Israel in order to attack Islam.

COLLINS: And you can Maria Ressa's full piece on "CNN PRESENTS." It's called "Seeds of Terror" this Sunday at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, 11:00 p.m. Eastern as well.

Again, the other Media have not picked up this story. NOTHING anywhere else!

I tried to find the transcript of the hour-long documentary, but found none. However, it apparently can be obtained at www.fdch.com.

This documentary delineated the full massive scope of al Qaeda's network in the Pacific area. And it contained the NEWS that the 9/11 attack plans were found in 1996.

What happened to that news? What is going on?

What's going on is that the Bush administration and the Pentagon are trying to recuperate the lost battle of public opinion concerning 9/11. Time Warner is in bed with the military lobbies, that's common knowledge: Office of Strategic Influence & U.S. Army 'Psyops' Specialists worked for CNN

Their planted news doesn't get picked up because other media are getting slightly embarrassed with the amount of lies this administration is producing. They start to understand that this is bad for their business.

Gore Criticizes Bush's Handling of 9-11
But What Did Clinton's White House Know?
August 7th, 2003 5:00 PM
Mondo Washington this week:

WASHINGTON, D.C.?-In his New York Move-On speech this afternoon, Al Gore came close to saying flat-out that the Bush White House knew about the September 11 attacks before they happened.

Here's what he said:

"Two years ago yesterday, for example, according to The Wall Street Journal, the president was apparently advised in specific language that Al Qaeda was going to hijack some airplanes to conduct a terrorist strike inside the U.S.

"I understand his concern about people knowing exactly what he read in the privacy of the Oval Office, and there is a legitimate reason for treating such memos to the president with care. But that concern has to be balanced against the national interest in improving the way America deals with such information. And the apparently chaotic procedures that were used to handle the forged nuclear documents from Niger certainly show evidence that there is room for improvement in the way the White House is dealing with intelligence memos. Along with other members of the previous administration, I certainly want the commission to have access to any and all documents sent to the White House while we were there that have any bearing on this issue. And President Bush should let the commission see the ones that he read too."

****************************
This is all well and good, but it was to the Clinton-Gore White House that the warnings of Al Qaeda attacks using airliners either came and were ignored or didn't come at all at various intervals, according to the recently released Intelligence Committee report. The report points to a specific warning in 1998, when Clinton and Gore were running the country.

Here is what the 9-11 report said, "In September 1998, the [Intelligence Community] obtained information that Bin Laden's next operation might involve flying an explosive-laden aircraft into a U.S. airport and detonating it.

"In the fall of 1998, the [Intelligence Community] obtained information concerning a Bin Laden plot involving aircraft in the New York and Washington, D.C., areas."

"In March 2000, the [Intelligence Community] obtained information regarding the types of targets that operatives of Bin Laden's network might strike. The Statue of Liberty was specifically mentioned, as were skyscrapers, ports, airports, and nuclear power plans."
***************************

And while it is certainly necessary to get Bush to drop his claim to executive privilege and turn over the documents he is withholding to the national commission, it would also make sense for the commission to interview Clinton and Gore about what they knew and when they knew it.

Gore goes on to rake the Patriot Act over the coals, calling it "a broad and extreme invasion of our privacy rights in the name of terrorism prevention." He went on: "And speaking of the Patriot Act, the president ought to reign in John Ashcroft and stop the gross abuses of civil rights that twice have been documented by his own Inspector General. And while he's at it, he needs to reign in Donald Rumsfeld and get rid of that DoD 'Total Information Awareness' program that's right out of George Orwell's 1984."

That's nice. But it was under Clinton and Gore that the greatest single intrusion on civil liberties took place with the passage of the Antiterrorism Act in 1996. At the time, Clinton was trying to make political hay off the Oklahoma City bombing, which itself had nothing to do with foreign terrorism. So Clinton-Gore joined with Congress in passing the anti-terrorism act that formed an important foundation of the Patriot Act.
