Gee, who would have thought a Democrat, would come up with this cleaver idea.

"WASHINGTON -- Dealing with global warming will be painful, says one of the most powerful Democrats in Congress. To back up his claim he is proposing a recipe many people won't like _ a 50-cent gasoline tax, a carbon tax and scaling back tax breaks for some home owners.

"I'm trying to have everybody understand that this is going to cost and that it's going to have a measure of pain that you're not going to like," Rep. John Dingell, who is marking his 52nd year in Congress, said Wednesday in an interview with The Associated Press.

Dingell will offer a "discussion draft" outlining his tax proposals on Thursday, the same day that President Bush holds a two-day conference to discuss voluntary efforts to combat climate change."

When will any of these weak politician, get the balls to go after GM etc... and force them to immediately increase efficiency. All they can come up with is taxing the consumer????

I live in Germany where a litter of beer is six Euro
where as the price of the auto beer is cheep.

Joshica Fischer ( Now a professor in USA) had tried to project this subject.
I feel sorry for the professer .
I uphold this.

Sometimes I
wonder what points you're
trying to make
by
talking about litters
of beer, nonetheless,
and of
embedded journalists.

It will
occur
to me
one day.

Let me spread my ignorance which is a rare thing to find in.......................
Fill up the blanks according your experience..
Back to the subject.
I am for taxing the people who wish to be aloof from the real world.
Tax who can afford and uplift
those who are innocent victims of this system.
