Dont forget that whoever becomes president in '008 has to work with congress, and congress has to work with them. Whoever becomes president might not be able to do the things they want because of opposing folks in congress in the way. Voting is a lost cause as I see it because of this. What do you think? If *insert candidate name* wins would they even get to do what they claim they'll do for America? Name me one or more benificial things that you think the candidate you've picked out (if they win) will get to do here in America as president of the U.S. without congress being a problem.

I don't think so.
I have been following the American Checks and Balances for the last few years.
I am of the opinion that the present day American system is nothing to do with Checks but cheques
nor it is anything to do with balances
other than Bank Balances.
Proportional representation in parliament is better.
If a Dem is elected, our involvement in the Iraq Civil War will be wound down if not totally eliminated. Even without Congressional approval, the C-I-C certainly has the power to end a conflict.
