http://www.americanthinker.com/2007/09/novice_congressman_needs_to_be.html

Quote:
Congressman Joe Sestak (D-PA), a former US Navy Admiral, recently revealed that he is indifferent about the well-being of US veterans of the Iraq war, that he is either careless or clueless about domestic security concerns, and that he would be grateful if voters dumped him from office. The Democrat and Republican parties apparently do not think such actions warrant even running a viable candidate against Sestak.

Quote:
Pressed repeatedly for when and what kind of consequences he would impose on an organization with documented ties to terrorists, Sestak finally exploded:

"Go ahead and vote me out of office, you'd be doing me a favor. My sick daughter is my priority, so go ahead and vote me out of office." You'd be doing me a favor."

Quote:
Sestak revealed that in all the times he visited his daughter at Walter Reed Hospital he had never taken the opportunity to find out what was happening to the wounded war veterans. He had never looked "below the deck," as he put it in Navy parlance. Next, this elected official and former Navy Admiral admitted that even after the exposure of the US veteran health care scandal, he did not attend the congressional hearings on the scandal.

Read the rest of the piece.
This guy should be voted out of office if this is true.

But you dont deny the accuracy of the quotes.
Why is that?

Are you saying that this congressman didnt say what he is quoted as saying?

If thats true, then prove the article wrong.
It shouldnt be to difficult to do,should it?

If thats all you like to do, you dont do it very well at all.
You arent annoying me at all,you are just making yourself look foolish.

So have fun doing that, you seem to be good at it.

MM
MM, anyone with an ounce of compassion would realize the congressman is in great emotional stress over his daughter's condition. He appears to have blocked out everything except his daughter's recovery. People say such things under great stress and frustration.

Shame on you (and the author) for not noticing his emotional pain and using it to take a political cheap pot shot at him.

I wasnt taking shots at him at all.
But I do find it interesting that he didnt even bother to go to his own commitee hearings.

REad the whole article before you comment.
It makes for interesting reading.

How did I make a "cheap shot"?
He said...
Quote:
Go ahead and vote me out of office, you'd be doing me a favor. My sick daughter is my priority, so go ahead and vote me out of office." You'd be doing me a favor."

And I said I hope he gets what he wants.

Thats not a cheap shot, its showing support for him.

I'm not evading what I said.
He is a dem,and he said he hopes the voters vote him out.

I hope so also,so I am hoping he gets what he wants.

The fact that I think he isnt very bright, at least according to what was written in the article I linked to,doesnt hurt either.

But,he wants out,so I hope the voters oblige him.

You people have an interesting definition of a "cheap shot".

Why is what I said a cheap shot, yet when you on the left personal;ly attack the Bush twins, you attack and make fun of Bush for personal reasons, you personally attack every repub or conservative you disagree with, instead of attacking their policies.

Why arent those "cheap shots"?
I dont consider what I said a cheap shot, but if it is, then thats your problem and definition, not mine.
