I have been going to able2know for the past month and every time I see a thread of interest, it is dominated by slander between H20man, Justalurker and Gary Slusser.
I am not a moderator but just somebody who wants to learn. If the purpose of this board is to allow slander, accusations and insults under the Home Improvement section, then I am obviously in the wrong board.
If the purpose is to intelligently add suggestions and commentary, then please focus the responses to the original poster and not to each other.
I really don't care anymore and think that it makes all of you come across as petty. I think you may all have conviction in your beliefs and I think it is great but stop at insulting the other person.
Or, do it via email and leave the rest of us out of it.

Start your own topic and tell the petty/chatty people to hit the road.

I've never heard of those posters.
But then again, I don't go to the Home Improvement forums because I've heard they're way too rowdy.
I'd prefer to stay on nice, safe subjects like...umm.....naked jogging priests.

I think what the softner threads need is a filter of somekind to keep the bulldust out of the flow. If things get too acid I suggest using an acid neutralising filter and set my well pump valve to off. (yes thats right - fleck off).
Sorry, H2O Man, but hey, to be on topic in the Home Improvement forum, shouldn't there be some remote connection to home improvements?
By the way, I've seen your and Gary Slusser's posts. Professionals disagree, and they all look helpfull, at least for someone doing water treatment at home.
