Amtrak offers free booze on rail trips

Amtrak will offer $100 in free alcohol to customers on some overnight trains.

Why wouldn't they just offer a combo food/drink worth of $100? What about people who do not drink alcohol - are they going to feel slighted? Or how will they prevent some drunk from getting off the train and then driving? Also, I wouldn't want to work on that train - imagine all the drunks they are going to have to deal with. Honestly I think this is a big marketing disaster just waiting to happen.

I think that is a poor marketing decision also. It doesn't even make sense to me. I totally agree with you Linkat.
