I've always liked him

... but now he's my guy. Kucinich. He has the best answers so far in tonight's debate, IMO. If I were a Democrat I'd vote for him in the primary as of now.

Who looks good to you tonight?

It's still on -- CNN. I was most impressed by his response to the question of climate change. He tied it in with our foreign policy and national priorities. Something about a connection between "global warming and global warring". (Obama had a few good ones there too.) And he made some really good points on the war. I'm afraid I'll need to wait for the transcript so I can quote him.

Since I posted, Chris Dodd has dropped a few honesty bombs too ("follow the money"). It's a good debate.

Correction: that wasn't Chris Dodd, that was Gravel. My bad, all those white haired guys look the same.

Yes, that was really good. It was something along the lines of "as long as we are fighting a war to satisfy our oil interests, that means we're not ready to change our ways of life".

I got to watch some of it. This is a good lot, all in all, and what more fortuitous time for that to happen.

Everyone seemed to do quite well in what I watched, with no gaffes or errors that caught my attention. The three front runners looked as if they deserved their standing. I'm rather in love with Obama so it's hard to be objective re the fellow, I confess. But as David Gergen stated, Hillary continues to do herself great favors in these debates through demonstrations of undeniable knowledge and competence but also through managing to project something which she is commonly criticized for lacking...warmth.

Kucinich has the distinction of being the only vegan in Congress and fully intends to take away your 2A rights to self defense. Screw him.

That was a good shot, Gus--Kudos.

Mr. Mountie, if you have the time, give us a more detailed analysis, if you please.

I thought Hillary did really well. I like Obama too. In the end, I'm at the mercy of registered Democrats to give me someone I can stomach voting for, and that probably won't be Kucinich, but I can dream, can't I?

Does one have to be a registered member of a party to vote in the primary in Georgia?

You can. And I do like him, too.

Here's the debate transcript:

Yes. I don't know about other states except for Virginia (best state I ever lived in for this kind of stuff). There you can vote in one primary or another regardless of your party affiliation but you can't vote in both.

BBB
Joe Biden is the wisest and most outspoken among the bunch, but he doesn't have a chance to win.

Bill Richardson is a good governor in New Mexico but he's a terrible campaigner and debater.

In Ohio, you sign your name next to a facsimile of your signature, and you are free to vote thereafter in one primary or the other, but not both. If the primaries are not held on the same date (don't know if that ever happens in Ohio, i just don't recall), then either your name would not appear on the register for the second primary, or it would still be there if you hadn't voted in the first primary. I haven't really paid that much attention.

Well Set, I have to thank you for asking that question because it made me look it up and it turns out I was wrong.

Accoring to http://sos.georgia.gov/ELECTIONS/elections/voter_information/default.htm

Quote:
In the state of Georgia, you do not have to register by political party to vote in the state's regular primaries or general elections.

It's not clear on whether you can vote in both or just one, so I'll keep looking, but it looks like I might have a say in this thing after all.

Gus, I try to like you, but sometimes you're a numbnut.

Hitler was a gun grabber. He disarmed the jews, then tried to exterminate them.

I think Nugent should run. He makes more sense than anybody.
