FINAL DECISION: We have decided not to have dormers on Main Roof, No Shutters, wider window frames (border) though. wider windows on 1st floor. Sky light or Dormers on Garage roof Depending on the cost. This is important to us we need all the light we can get in our bonus room. The wife insisted that we stick with the arch 2story Foyer window. So i gave-in Smile We also decided to have a cosmetic porch/balcony built. Similar to the one on page one. Anyway that's it for now. Thank you all very, very much, and good luck to all of you. "God bless America" bye now, Neo

Montana, i'm so excited. I haven't had lunch since the framing started. Thanks for your kind words.

BumbleBeeBoogie, well i don't know if i can agree with "great progress", should have been in more advance stages, if you ask me, but due to bad weather and a few set-backs (dealing with a contractor) overall, not too bad. We are making progress so i can't complain. Very Happy Thank you for your kind comments.

ossobuco, You have been with me since day one. It is nice to know that there are folks out there such as yourself. You have given me great advice and i couldn't forget you. Laughing I had to give back to the forum, after all, i've taken so much from it. It's funny that you noticed it's setting. It is set on a very slight kiddy-corner on a slope lot. Once again Ossobuco, thank you very much for the compliments.

I also love the location of the house which is nice and private with lots of woods. Now that's my kind of house :-D I'm so exited for you and can't wait to see the finished product.

Neo, the photos show excellent symmetry on your house. So much better than some of the examples you showed us before starting to build. You are on your way to a very attractive home.

I can't wait to see how the front entrance roof and steps will greet your guests. Will you have traditional narrow straight steps or will you have a larger entry? Perhaps an half-oval landing with wider expanding steps made of brick or other masonry material? There would be room for lovely potted plants such as evergreen topiaries to frame the front door. This design would look great under an half-oval portico rather than the traditional boxy Federal style.
