@Region Philbis,
The weather flip happened here on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Really.

Hot and humid in the morning.
In a resto having ramen at 2.
The skies opened and there was a series of deluges for about 4 hours.

Then the temps plummeted.

June first and I had to dig out a polar fleece.

@ehBeth,
Yep, polar fleece and texting gloves today. I wore a tank top and shorts 2 days ago.

Winds right off snow in Sydney today for the first day of winter. (Dadpad reports snow in his area). My wardrobe was not prepared. Bloody chilly!

First day back at work also. Confused

@margo,
3am here, and I have been rudely awoken by a gale trying to remove my bedroom window from its frame.

Apparently the cool and blustery weather is buggering off elsewhere tomorrow, and we in the UK will be enjoying Mediterranean style weather for the rest of the week.

Apparently.

Boston is likely to set a record for the coldest June 1 in recorded weather history.
The record (low) is 53F and at 1 p.m. the Boston temperature was only 48F.

@Region Philbis,
we went from the beginnings of a serious drought with heat indices at a mid July level and then, badabing, weve gotten a 3" "catchup" rain event for 2 days with several more similar days predicted.
And yes its cool. I worry about my tomatoes, they will go into a torpor and not set any blossoms

@farmerman,
Mother Nature always seems to balance things up in the end, wot?

This of course means that Boston is soon going to be fried for four months.

@Region Philbis,
I use vunderground, or something like that for forecasts. Sometimes it will give a current temperature of 68 and predict the days high to be 62. They do this with a straight face.

I drove to Albuquerque (actually Rio Rancho) on Tuesday. My temperature settings varied from fan to A/C to heat. Time of day and altitude make a lot of difference around here.
