For one whose mind wanders it's hard enough to keep focused on complex drama I'm not at all into those sorts of shows where the impossible happens, and I wonder if I'm alone

Incidentally it's interesting to note, when I typed "TV" tag our a2k software adds the rest. I delete it but then instantly it returns

Can't see what Facebook has to do with TV

@dalehileman,
Grimm is a great show. Very good writing. Not as good as Justified or Breaking Bad, but still very good.

@dalehileman,
You may have deleted the tags but perhaps someone else added them? as for the Facebook tag not sure why that one is here.

We really don't watch much TV but we will check out the movies on Netflix.

@Ragman,
Yeah, but some of the members are hamsters. I see them from time to time . . . skulking around .. . .

But still Rag they're then part of the software and evidently come up automatically

Members are creating the tags
That doesn't mean they're not part of the software
Clearly Rag we have a semantic issue

@dalehileman,
Whatever works for you. Everthing with the forum is software. It is not automated ..semantics be damned.

Furthermore you stated:

This concept you have is incorrect. This is not automatic.

@dalehileman,
Our msgs crossed. Scroll back to my previous comment. it does not instantly return..without human intervention. Members are adding tags.

The additional tags appear instantly when I hit "delete," strongly suggesting automatic replacement, even if originated by participant

@dalehileman,
Dale: Sorry but either I don't understand what you're trying to do or you're not explaining it well.

When I try to do what you describe, I don't get that response from the system.

On perhaps a different note, I've noticed that once I add a tag then attempt to delete it, it still appears on the thread.

It's not the A2K software adding the rest, it's your MAC trying to auto-fill the tag field with previous tags you have entered. It's trying to anticipate what you "might" write based on what you "have" written in the past.

To be more specific, it's probably an "auto-fill" setting in whatever browser you are using.

@rosborne979,
Dale:

I don't run a Mac OS.

Neither my Internet browser (IE) nor my OS (Win 7) is set to do auto-fill. This is an option you can shut off if it is an issue for you.

You threw me off kilter with the talk about tags

In this case Rag, when I saved first tag, 3 or 4 more appeared out of nowhere. I tried to delete the new ones but they instantly returned

Aha, I'll have to consult my No. 1 Son, who is good at this sort of thing, on his next visit
