The fact that we have a Missionary Position is indicative of the kind of work they were doing in the tropics, with those exotic natives....

Heh heh Laughing....getting back on track...the religious opposition to abortion and stem cell research does indeed irk me. I think that to approach Frank's challenge, and ask oneself, (for those who accept a god of course), if these things couldn't possibly be part of the 'unknown plan', would be keeping in line with the thread, and bible quotes are outlawed in approaching this question.

Hmm, well, I would like the question to be addressed from what people feel about their own faith, rather than trying to 'prove' the theory wrong through citing biblical references (too easy). That's all. Wink

Actually understood what you meant, but needed to clarify for those folks tempted to use the bible for their reference. Wink

A diversion from you, Osso, is always welcome.
BTW, what is a "missionary position", a job with a church?

I am out of this, just listening and interrupting. I answered the original question and am not personally engaged by the diverse challenges, although I'll sit and watch the byplay.

Genuine interest, maliagar, how you would defend the challenge on questions of your own faith, without resorting to biblical quotations. In short, I am asking you for an opinion, not a diatribe.

Can you quote ONE time in which I defended my faith resorting to biblical quotations?

[Please, don't take the path taken by Frankie, Craven, LightWeight, JLNobody and others, who wouldn't provide evidence for the things they said...

If you can't bring ONE example in support of what you just said, you know what that means...]

Fine maliagar. I'll clarify: Do you actually have an opinion on the subject based on your personal feelings and not rooted in biblical REFERENCE, or is it that you just like to argue in circles endlessly?

Hey, Husker:

"I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me." - Gospel according to Saint John 17:20-21

"Non pro his autem rogo tantum sed et pro eis qui credituri sunt per verbum eorum in me ut omnes unum sint sicut tu Pater in me et ego in te ut et ipsi in nobis unum sint ut mundus credat quia tu me misisti..." - Sanctus Iohannes 17:20-21
