why does he have your key? get it back from him and then go to the police.

He probably has taken a spark-plug wire or removed a spark plug.

The type of car would be helpful to give us an idea of how to disable it for him too.

If you don't want him to drive it, take one of the spark plug wires..or better yet, the coil wire...regardless of the car make or model

I am not an auto expert by any means but what tool is he using?
Is he opening up the hood to do what ever he is doing?
If so, have you looked under the hood to see if there is a lose wire?

Have you checked to make sure there's gas in it? It sounds like a fuel system problem. He may have tampered with your fuel pump relay or did some damage to the injectors.

Sounds like you've run out of battery juice.

I suspect not CI. She says the engine turns but it won't start. I suspect a fuel problem (I was a mechanic when I was young)

It was only a rough guess from personal experience; I've never been a mechanic, although back in tdhe late fifties I owned a Ford that I worked on by myself. Back then, cars were "easy" to work with. Very basic with nothing blocking the engine.

Call the police. Your "boyfriend" is playing power game and depriving you of the use of your property.

I assume the relationship between you is a little strained?

Your car won't start to punish you for typing in ALL CAPITALS.

Seriously,

1. Get rid of that clunker of a car, or call a garage and get it fixed. Don't let your l4meA$$ boyfriend near it in future.

More importantly,

2. Get rid of that clunker of a boyfriend. FAST!

The OP says it's a 1997 Honda Accord in a duplicate thread closed by the moderators.
