Nothing against gay people, but Bond has always been one of the primary Hollywood icons of masculinity. Daniel Craig must be an idiot if he thinks this won't backfire, and completely ruin the legacy of Bond forever after, making the entire series into a laughing stock.

Pretty much what I was thinking. It wouldn't add up...

The gay assassin couple in "Diamonds Are Forever" were a hoot, played as much for comedy as for threat. Craig shared on on-screen kiss with another man in that other Capote film "Infamous." The current idea is a bi-sexual affair with Jeffrey Wright who also played gay in "Angels in America."

Gays aren't masculine?

Right -- some are very masculine, some are masculine/feminine and some are feminine. I don't know how many straight men I've run into who had effeminate affectations. If it's written well, it's not going to be a big deal.

I think LightWizared would make an excellent gay James Bond.

Naw, I wouldn't be agile enough to handle all of James' weaponry and really not interested in Jeffrey Wright. Very Happy

Actually, James Bond as a character could be a prototype gay guy, or bi, as the case may be, but, to me, more likely gay. (Admission, I read Casino Royale a long time ago, and saw some of the early movies, but none of the later ones.)

(Why do I feel I need to explain the complications of human beings to the world at large....
osso wanders off.)

Daniel Craig in gay sex temptation with equally hot other guy .. forget about the traditional James Bond moviegoers, that would draw in a lot of new women fans..

Yep, that's about the only scenario that could possibly get me to see a James Bond movie. Very Happy

Oh God...I can see it now. Bond's next lineup of gadgets will be a giant motorized dildo and a watch with flip up mirror and makeup kit.

The Austin Martin wouldn't spray an oil slick behind it to thwart the villain's pursuing car, but KY Warming Gel and a lot of beads.
