GoAway - did you get my email? Do I still have your email address?

Do you have mine? It hasn't changed.

This thread is going like a house afire.

On a2k persona vs. abuzz. I am liberated here. Was a little too 'proper' on abuzz, from my moderator role. But I hedged my bets. mccandless0 was the name given to me by the NYT. Never saw any good reason to change it.

But when coming here, since I had also been called 'sumac' on abuzz and other forums, it seemed like an appropriate transition.

Oops. Sorry about that.

I particularly miss those intrepid souls who were around in September and October 2000, and who fought their way in. The virtual taverns, which changed every day, for fear that management would pull them. The very real ranting.

And, I will always miss Mary Pope.

Nimh, I know what you mean about the personas being different/ running across people more. Cavfancier was on Abuzz, I think, but he's only really "registered" here. There have been many others who were on Abuzz but I feel like I got to know here.

Hmm...not quite sure what that means, lol. I was not nearly the Abuzzer that many of you were, but I do miss my culinary discussions with Vincent. Wish he would come over here and help Jerry and I spice up the food and drink forum. Here, there is no such thing as "too many cooks" spoiling the fun. Also, MaryPope is sadly missed by myself as well.

This is one of the few long threads where I've bothered to read each page -- how cool to see so many people reconnect. I remember a lot of names mentioned here from Abuzz -- and one I'd like to mention is Divaden -- she was always a lot of fun. Anyone keep up with her?

I think that interacting here is different from the old place, too -- I'm more active here, for sure. Craven's hard work and vigilance make all the difference!

I was just thinking of Diva the other day. It'd be nice if she popped in.

No longer have her email address. The 'good' techies who wiped, reformatted, reinstalled, failed to save my address book or documents. Never again. I'll do it myself.

Just found this thread. In addition to the ones already mentioned, I miss Ridinghood. Her Parlors were always oases in the wilderness. And I do wish Debacle would come back. He's been off Abuzz too. My understanding is that Aa got some kind of a rebuff when she posted here, took it personally, and decided this wasn't the place for her. That's unfortunate because I really enjoy interacting with her on Abuzz.

I emailed princess and neo a couple of times - both had no interest joining/staying here.

Sometimes I remember the feature: who is online (at the bottom of the 'Forums' page).

And quite often I find someone, who hasn't posted a lot or since long time, who instead just watches.

The overlap between Abuzz & A2K people is interesting isn't it?
It's as though many of us want all the Abuzz people here, as they always were, on Abuzz.
Maybe some of them are, but under another identity?

Gorsh. I forgot to add Booman to my list of "missing" people. Hope he's okay.

I have read this thread several times, and it certainly does bring back some pleasant memories. To add to the list:

Artunbound--AnneofNorway--SoccerGeorge--Anneoverboard--Plato

Oh, I remember you! ;-)

This is funny. A2K should feature a little "translator" machine somewhere, where you could look up A2K <-> Abuzz names. I just knew there were many more ex-Abuzzers here than I could recognize as such ...

Oh, yes, Diva Den too, shoulda been on my list above ...

Irish - nuthin much - you?
