I am, sometimes! Definitely. <smiles>

Thats definitely true. The style, the look of the board makes you feel and react differently, sets a different mood, and thus makes you behave differently, as well. (Not 'you' you, but - "one", I mean.)
And the props. Abuzz had the instant update thingie with the little bell - gives a totally different dynamic to a thread. Different feeling to "staying in check" with a thread while you're at the computer, as well (excited, quick-to-the-trigger, warm&fuzzy). And here, you have all those smilies (I dont use 'em much, I like em better "analog", but others do) - and the avatars, of course. And the sigs.
Even something like the difference between Abuzz threads being one big whole, and A2K threads being neatly split up in bite-sized pages, has an effect on how you post, I think. How easy you refer to a post from a while back, how quickly the topic changes resp. acquires or loses what kind of focus, how a (chaotic/witty/competitive) dynamic develops or not, etc. I changed my prefs myself to make my A2K pages a lot longer - 100 posts a page instead of 10, I think.
Its not just myself that I have this sense of, like, coming across wholly differently. I had a totally different image of dlowan on Abuzz than here, for example - she comes across much more cosy, chatty, here. Or Ethel/Lola for example. You come across much the same, ebeth, thank the lord! <smiles>
