Who Do You Miss
I am already floundering. I went to the "profile" and was going to send same but the form would not accept typing.

SO: profile--e-mail: [email protected]
I am a retired English teacher who loves all of you oldies and will love the others, probably. I read a lot and cook a lot and sit and play with this computer a lot. I also garden. I have a cat Tiki and a husband Al--not necessarily in that order.

In December I fell over a desk and broke my left arm bone, the humerusaand it ain't easy to break that big thing. I had one complete fracture and one splinter stuck into a muscle and another partial fracture. I had surgery and a pin with two nails inserted--wish I could send you a copy of my X-ray--it's gruesome.I am now using an electric gadget 10 hours a day which with electric current is supposed to make the bone grow back because it is not doing so despite that I consume enough calcium each day to build a skeleton.

Hi, GoAway! GREETINGS!

The first time I tried to amend my Profile, I couldn't get anything to take, either.

Finally, I found I had to type in my password three times in the boxes provided near the top of your profile info.

Hope this helps. I'm glad to meet you. You are certainly loved by a lot of members. Very Happy

Thanks, Sofia--new friend. I will try the Profile again.

Cobalt has set up a number of little Texas maps for me to choose from for an avatar but I haven't figured how to get them from MSN to here.

Anyway, pretty girl, they are pretty level compared to some of the others. Oh, well.

{{{Soz}}} I am here often reading but I hesitate to get involved in discussions when I can't really keep up with them. You can find me on the Music & Lyrics threads and the Neverending Word Association thread.

Hey, GoAway! Don't go away again OK? It's good to read you again. Sorry about your arm. Hope you heal quickly. How is Your Al? Doing well, I hope.

{{{PaL}}} Good to see you!

Hi GoAway!!!

It's so good to see you here!!!

Craven can help you with your avatar.... it's kinda tricky..... it took me several attempts, and then it would disappear sometimes..... now, I think we can use an image that's on our hard-drive.... is that correct, Craven???

GoAway, take good care of your mending bones.... wish there was something I could do to help you there.....

Yes, ms olga, you were my first abuzz friend. In fact, I only joined abuzz because your 'mean and evil characters' thread was so much fun! I never had wanted to join any kind of 'chat room', but abuzz had TOPICS for discussion!

I am sooooo grateful. These forums are a way to find good friends. I think we 'self-select' and find people who are similar or compatible philosophically, emotionally, etc.

The big relationship split? I'm glad to hear that you're doing well, probably better than before. Best of luck to you, dear friend. I'm going through it right now and I'm looking forward to being on my own.

Other than that, my time has been occupied with remodeling the house, tutoring, and I'm editing someone's book-length manuscript. It's a great story, but the writing needs a lot of help.

I recently reread much of David Copperfield. How I love it!!

Well, this is quite an update. Good to see you again ms. olga. I did try to send you an e-mail, but for some reason it wouldn't send from here. So our mutual friend forwarded it to you.

Bye for now,
Seattlefriend (Jeanne)

Morganwood's here, and karateka is kara. Forgot about princessash and neohihp! Had them confused with you and 'stasia back in the day. Sisternushooz had a baby and, as far as I know, pretty much disappeared into momhood. (Cute baby!) Moondoggy's showed up once or twice, and general lee too (has another name here, not sure if it's to be advertised or not.)

That's all I know!

Letty - i just had the funniest reaction to the cowboy from Boston. my first thought was to say, i just 'talked' to him today - he's well and busy. then i realized you might not mean the author but the a2k'er who sees himself as the cowboy from Boston. in either case, they're well. Very Happy

Here I am, here I am--have been trying for weeks, with a lot of help, to get into this. It still looks complicated. Special greetings to my little K and to Craven (boy, do you know I take credit for having kept you in Abuzz when you first started--you still owe me a hug)

Now, if I can find how to send this

GOAway I'll never do that

Hey there! You did indeed keep me in Abuzz and since that was my fisr internet community you should get dredit for all the other ones I participated in and started. Including this one!

{{{{{GoAway}}}}}

I'd not knows about your arm. I really hope it improves! You can always have mine, I don't use it for anything but scratching.

PAL is right, you can indeed, load an avatar from your harddrive. If you need any help with that just give me a holler.

Please don't live up to your handle. I'd never considered putting gates up here but if we see you moving toward the door we are sooo gonna lock it. ;-)

Craven!! You Sweetheart!!

here's a BIG HUG.....

(((((((Craven)))))))

how sweet of you to think of me.... you just made my day.... I didn't realize you were in San Diego.... San Diego is pretty, with all those beautiful sailboats and yachts.... and, just a short drive east, you can find beautiful orchards full of grapefruit and oranges.... I went to a conference, about 5 or 6 years ago, which was held at the Hotel Del Coronado.... the first thing I wanted to do? take my shoes off and walk in the soft sand.... oh, it was heavenly.... I love the ocean....

I've been focused on trying to buy a house and 5-acres of land, in the foothills of Mount Rainier..... the existing house is "funky", so I've run into a few obstacles..... my long-term goal is to build my dream mountain cabin on the property.....

I took *Jack*, my Border Collie, to a few Disc-Dog events (we aren't allowed to say "Frisbee", because it's a brand name and these events are sponsored by "Hyperflite", which is a different brand of Disc)..... anyway, I'm learning how to throw the Disc, accurately, into the 5-point zone..... when I get that mastered, Jack and I might win a trophy..... LOL..... in the meantime, we're having lots of fun, and we're meeting lots of great people.....

here's a link to some pictures I took, with my new digital camera, at the Skyhoundz Regional Championships.....

http://community.webshots.com/user/sandra4u123

My daughter, Rosanne, is still living at home..... she has a Border Collie, too, and is training *Bunny* for agility competitions.....

As seattlefriend mentioned, I got together with her, Stoat, Wy, PatioDog and Mrs. PatioDog, D'Artagnon, and little k..... we gathered in Seattle, when little k was here to visit family and friends..... it was a great evening..... I loved meeting everyone..... I hope we can get together again soon..... we posted some pictures at little k's MSN photo album website.....

I must admit, I've been lurking here at A2K..... I have some favorite threads in the Spiritual/Philosophy section..... I just haven't had time to take my mind off realtors, loan officers, bank appraisers, property insurance, etc etc etc..... I enjoy reading the thread about "Free Will", especially after the Home Inspector tells me that the house's foundation wasn't built to code.....

"Hi" to everyone!!!

It feels good to be posting again!!!

PaL

It's good to see ya again. I miss the good ole days when I never bothered with politics and just had fun on the net. San Diego is indeed beautiful and the Del Coranado is one of my strongest memories.

I heard about your gathering and was all kinds of jealous!

I started this thread thinking it was mere reminiscence and am positively thrilled to see it's much more than that.

It's great to see you again. Seems like old times... reminisce, reminisce, reminisce
