Athena has also come out with a more traditional, a "classic" action figure:

Where does Athena stand on graven images? Or on Daggers-and-Dollies?

I have frequently seen Athena portrayed as standing next to a graven image, but i don't know that i've ever known her to actually stand on a graven image. I suspect that if the action figure is a big seller, she'll do well with "dolls n daggers."

I first saw the www.dolls-n-daggers.com site following up a reference by Esther Friesner (Chicks in Chain Mail, Did you Say "Chicks"?!, Chicks 'n Chained Males; The Chick is in the Mail, and Turn the Other Chick.

The dolls are one-of-a-kind and probably too pricy for action play. On the other hand an out-of-the-box Barbie can be deified with a few scraps of material.

Of course the domestically talented girls are not necessarily the girls who play with action figures, but if Athena doesn't love 'em, Hera does.

Not to put too fine a point on it--Hera's a bitch. She's just eaten up with jealousy and resentment, and she always backs the opposite side to whatever bunch Zeus favors, just to spite him. She's a mean, blubbery drunk, too.

Setanta--

Even if droit de deus excuses droit de signior spreading the divine seed can be very disruptive of domestic bliss.

Was it really necessary for Zeus to take over Hera's best shrines and dedicate them to his floozies?

Setanta--

Zeus in his godlike splendor didn't accept "N-O" from a mere mortal.

Zeus can be viewed as a serial rapist.

I'm sure that being married to a serial rapist--with a taste for publicity-- can be a souring experience.

Well I think that we can argue the point of where is GOD forever. The most important thing surely is looking after ourselves. so that we can look after the people we love.
God is here he always has been. Forever! and will continue to be so.
