No one in network management knows news. They are all bean counters and consider the news department just another profit center rather than a public service. ---BBB
Rather Responds: Les Moonves "Doesn't Know About News"

The war of words between Dan Rather and his former boss, CBS Chief Les Moonves, continued today. Rather told Fox anchor David Asman,
"Les Moonves knows about entertainment, but he doesn't know about news."
Earlier in the day, Moonves had called Rather sexist for saying the network was "tarting" up its news program with his successor Katie Couric.
Dan. A crazy bastid. "Tart it up"....(saucers eyes)
Dan needs a nice burial, to keep him warm at night.
