Have you ever gone through your cherished photos and noticed how many pictures of complete strangers you have? And isn't it weird, that complete strangers have you in their photos as well? Guess there isn't much to discuss but thought I'd share this random thought. Smile

Right. Not a lot to discuss, but it is an interesting thought.

I agree, but it adds atmosphere.
Wouldnt it be odd to discover yourself on a postcard!!

I like ot collect old vintage photo's.I have to make a point of writing on the back of them that they are not family members.

If the camera actually takes a snippet of the soul....then there would be a great deal to talk about.

Imagine being trapped in an alien photo album.

Sometimes I am in a crowded place, and someone is taking a picture, where I know I will be in that picture. I have often thought that some years later, they would look at the picture, and say, "Who the hell was that broad in the background"! Laughing

A few years back I was out on my porch, washing my hands, and Gertrude took a photo of me. I never really thought much of it at the time and Gertrude never did develop the film.

Well, Gertie left last year and recently her memory has been weighing heavily on my mind. I looked through some old photos, shed a few tears, and then noticed that roll of undeveloped film.

I had it developed and as I was going through the photos I came across the aforementioned photo of me washing my hands.

A smile came to my face as I remembered Gertie taking that photo and just then I noticed the woman in the background.

"Who the hell is that broad?", I said to myself.

I took my magnifying glass out of the top drawer and examined the mystery woman. I let out a gasp. It was Phoenix!

See for yourself....

In the "CUBS" photo posted on the Chicago thread, I noticed this couple:

They reminded me of some friends of mine, and just seemed interesting.

Then Walter posted a link to a fansite, and I saw them again, and was happy to see them:

Point? Not sure, but this thread reminded me. (I had even already cropped that photo, before seeing this thread, but decided not to do anything with it.)

Sozobe, wow.. Was seeing these two complete strangers in different photos coincidental?

Not really -- they were sitting close to each other at a Cubs game. Here's the original photo, and context:

Later Walter linked to a site that had another version of that photo, and I saw the same couple as a thumbnail a couple of photos down.

Evidently there is some sort of roving official photographer who takes photos and posts them on the site, and then you can buy a copy.
